If God really did it with a flood, then he is sadistic. If he wanted to, God could have made the whole human race disappear instantly - snapping his fingers, so-to-speak. I guess it would have been too easy. The Christian "God" is a monster. That's why I doubt that a supreme creator would be Christian.
Two Christian votes so far.

Chopper –
Is this the root cause of religious and political conservatives inability to comprehend the reality-based world and to blame all of their failures on someone or something else?
Do you not see the illogic and buffoonery of your answer –
1.– a supreme being creates not only mankind, but every other living creature and plant, as well,
2.– he creates humans so that they have difficulty understanding what they are supposed to do - and so that they have to figure out some grand puzzle – that he only provides vague and indirect instructions for, and then
3.– he then kills (with the exception of only 2 of each kind), by drowning, each and every living thing than he has ever created, because they did not put the puzzle together fast enough or to his satisfaction, and
4. – it is, some how, their own fault that they all drowned to death ( it is certainly unclear to me what sin every other animal earth committed to seal their fate as well)?
That is worse than shooting someone in the face with a shotgun, and then making them apologize for it.
That is more than sadistic – it would have to be considered the greatest evil, committed by the most evil entity, in the history of all time and space.
How could anyone worship such evil?

Regard him as diferent, not just supreme or of better origin. This is not necesarily better than you or me, just better.
Sometimes words do not show how to enact one out of sexual impulse or truth beyond scandal. Supreme beings do not react, yell or matter. We know and go forward with others, being this evolutionary or spiritual it is not important, we are, so things are kept close, not just in focus as termed elsewhere. Surrender the image, there is future beyond, yet it seems adequate already so we do not concern it more than already.
Words are good, and significances are bad. Ignoring the phrase is conceiving the eloquence. Carve the meat. Bye.

who said you can't question Him? if you mean OPPOSE him, bad idea. If you mean, ask God a question, sure. And think about this...
God isn't to blame for ever death out there. Geez! if you can't swim and you jump into a lake, God's fault? And God kills only when needed, cuz we live in a time of grace. And God cannot do evil. That defies all logic and the laws of the universe itself.
Thing is, God doesn't "murder". In the old testament, he killed, for lack of a better term, to discipline. Just before Noah, the world was so evil that only 8 good people existed. 8! That kinda seems like a reason to do some disciplining to me. And they had warning for the flood, they could have escaped.

You can question GOD but I would suggest you do it in a respectful way. Someday you will be able to stand before HIM and I think you may not want to be so accusatory then. HE loves you and HE loved those who died in the Great Flood of Noah's day. THEY were SO rebellious that it made GOD very upset that HE had created man to begin with. Rather than wipe out all of Creation(which HE has the right to do) HE extended mercy and gave man another chance. HE is a GOD of great mercy( as you should notice when you wake up still alive every morning).

Go ahead question Him, he doesn't mind He is greater than your questioning, greater than your blasphemous statements. Greater than all your prejudices. However there is repercussions for such attitudes and statements made at him. God does not do evil. The evil that you are speaking of is the tragedy of sin infested world. Man sinned, and because of his sinfullness caused all of creation to fall from its perfect harmony with God.In such fall, accidents such as the one you describe happen, nor does God stop man's free will to charge into all manners of sinfulness but man will eventually and quickly suffer under such activities now in this life and especially in the one to come. If a child dies, it is result of sin not the childs perse' but of sin in the world that causes death, destruction, diseases, all manners of evils to be exploited upon the helpless, the infirm. God hears their cries and holds men responsible to act decently towards his neighbor, disobedience reigns and the love of many was cold. You may ask where is God in all of this where is His Almighty ability where is His Love? He evident in that he will not let those who do evil go without punishmnent. He applies mercy and grace to our lives when we reach out to him through tragedy to see Him and He gives to all overcoming power when we trust totally in Him for our salvation. But to charge God with folly or evil is to actually in a sense blame God for your evil acts and your evil thoughts and your evil attitudes - who are you to charge God with wrong are you His Judge? Be careful, watch you speak against His Name - for you will not be held without fault on the day He visits you, and when you stand in front the judgement seat when the books are opened and every idle word you have spoken will be shown to see what character it is - then you will go forth weeping and wailing in that day - so take care.

There is nothing wrong with asking why... but I am sure you do not care anyway.
Let me ask you this:
Why did the people who drowned in the flood not heed the warnings given by Noah?
Why do YOU ignore the warning given to you by Christians?? I know why... You don't care.
You speak of God as a tyrant but neglect to talk about how He warned all those people BEFORE sending the flood. How He did not destroy thousands of people in Nineveh because they repented... or how that God came to earth in the flesh and BLED, SUFFERED and DIED for YOUR penalty of sin??? Why do you refuse the free gift of salvation that a loving God gave you???
You take in a breath of fresh air and smile at the beauty of creation then rant about how God destroyed those who refuse His goodness and all His warnings.
God has YET to end your breath but YOU continue to say how horrible He is. You call God evil...and accuse Him of hating and murdering unjustly, yet you still breath and enjoy the beauty of His creation... it is man who hates God, not visa versa.

*knocks over the straw man*
It's not blasphemy. You can question God, but you may not like His answer.
"Favorite way"? to kill. Bunk.
What about the plagues? What about the Angel of Death? What about fire and brimstone? You need to read some more before you parade your assumptions around.
