"The righteous considereth the cause of the poor; but the wicked regardeth not to know it." - Proverbs 29, 7
"The poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard." - Eccl. 9,16
"The poor shall never cease out of the land." - Deut. 15,11
"If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come follow me." - Jesus, Matt. 19,21
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Jesus, Matt. 25,40
An atheist who answered your question said the Bible is rubbish.
