Well I just have a quick question. When you go for namaz. i.e. jummah prayers or eid prayers. People always are praying before and after the congregation salat. So I was wondering why this was and how many rakats you are supposed to do?

or whatever it wants to be called.

I am not a christian, do not believe in God, however i feel i lead my life how most christians would.

I dont steal, i dont cheat, i've never killed anyone or been to jail and i follow MOST of the ten commandments (because i feel a lot are a good way to live your life) I donate to charities and help the needy whenever i can.

So i consider myself a good person. but the one thing is that i dont believe in God.

If God is so nice, why would i have to believe in him, for him to consider me a good person and for him to let me into "heaven"??

if they converted just before they breathed their last breath, will they go straight to heaven? but what about the injustice they've done towards others? will they go unpunished because they converted?

i don't mean to offend anyone with this question, but this is the question that i can't easily dismiss from my mind. can anyone enlighten me? it really just seem unfair...

1 There have been many false missing links in the past, such as Lucy. They have been disproved. I read on one A. that an evolutionist had written, that there are no actual missing links between us and apes found. So without a missing link how CAN Evolution be real?

2 If you are a real evolutionist, than there can be no known higher authority than man. Was Stalin right in killling so many innocent lives? (Remeber, man can make his own morals because there is no higher athority; God) How do you say he was wrong? What you say is merely your opinion compared to his.

I believe he was wrong because God says he was in the 6th commandment "Thou shalt not kill." but how do Evolutionists say he was wrong? I am honestly curious.

I was talking to my friend today about his church and how the other week they watched a movie that gave reasons why the Harry Potter series is satanic and should not be read and how parents should not let their kids read any of these books. I was amazed. I had no idea this kind of thing goes on. That's just like propaganda in my eyes... I just don't understand. So, please I'd like someone to give me good reasons why this happens and I'd like to know if these kinds of practices are common in churches around the US. He also told me about the Church/Pastor slamming D&D, Trading Card Games, and more. Let me know or just give your opinion.

My dad wants us to get married by a Catholic priest, when only 7 people in my family are catholic and no one in his family is. I don't want to alienate everyone. I also don't want it to feel like I'm forcing him to become Catholic eithor. His family doesn't really go to church much, where my dad goes all the time. I kind of "fell from grace" and quit going often, so I'm afraid a priest wouldn't marry us anyways since I don't goto church enough.. Any suggestions on where to get married??

If no you wouldn't, well ...euh...yeah I can't do anything for you (no experience in butt kissing).
If yes you would, what do you need him for? Apparently just being good isn't enough for him, you also have to worship him otherwise all your "goodness" goes to waste....What's the point?

My exams are coming up and I was if it is better to say Allah's name or is it better to make du'aa directly? Like Al- Alim and Al-Hakim, if you say either one of these names continuously, Allah will open the gates of knowledge for you. So, is saying the names of Allah better then making direct du'aa to him?

In Matthew 3:16-17, it says ..."And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:" "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased"

If God the Father and Jesus were the same person, why would he be pleased with himself?. It sounds as if God was being pleased with "his son," ie another person.

Again in 2 Peter 1:17, it reads, "For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

intelligent life existing somewhere else in the universe?

as someone who leans more toward the scientific side than the *other* side, simply because of curiosity and exposure to nature and information, i am confused at the common habit of atheists putting the idea of the existence of alien life on the same level of fantasy/fiction as they say that the human concept of "god" so shamelessly pervades. scientific endeavors that have been evidence for any theory, discovery, or law became so because of a curiosity into the glimpses of the unknown, resources to test the unknown, observations which allowed for "educated predictions" of what could occur, etc.
though god and science obviously clash, what logic do the atheists use that must negate the possibility of intelligent life forms existing somewhere other than on our relatively minuscule planet?
if we are intelligible enough to understand the mechanisms of evolution, form a concept of the boundlessness of space, and use thorough facts
