In Matthew 3:16-17, it says ..."And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:" "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased"

If God the Father and Jesus were the same person, why would he be pleased with himself?. It sounds as if God was being pleased with "his son," ie another person.

Again in 2 Peter 1:17, it reads, "For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Yes, they are two separate beings entirely. They both have a body as tangible as man's. The Holy Ghost is a separate being also, only without the tangible body. There is God the Father and His SON, Jesus Christ. They are one in purpose, not one in all senses. It is not like some blob without shape, form, or emotion that is somewhere out in the cosmos. You are noticing one of the few exact descriptions of all three of them that most religions tend to push aside.

Yes they are two different people, but they are also 3 in one. It is a little confusing to answer straight on here, but as far as the passage they are two different people, God the Father and God the Son ( the third is God the Holy Spirit)

particularly than record all religions that say God the daddy and Jesus are 2 different entities, why no longer see what the Bible teaches on the concern? At playstation . 80 3:18, the call utilized to the main severe is Jehovah. Did Gabriel tell the virgin Mary that she replaced into to furnish start to the main severe? At John 14:28, Jesus stated: "My Father is larger than i'm." If Jesus and his Father ARE equivalent, why might Jesus say his Father replaced into more advantageous to him? a million Cor. 11:3 says that the pinnacle of the Christ is God. How can God and Jesus be equivalent if Jesus has somebody OVER him? some religions teach that God is composed of three co-equivalent, co-eternal persons. To help their view, they are going to use Matt. 28:19, the place the daddy, Son and holy spirit are stated interior a similar verse. yet the place in that verse does it explicitly say they are 3 co-equivalent persons that make up one God? i'm no longer able to work out it. are you able to? How approximately Jesus' words at John 10:30: "I and the daddy are one"? returned, the place in this verse does it say there are 3 divine beings that make one God? returned, i'm no longer able to work out it. Trinitarians consult from the godhead as God the daddy, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. collectively as the term God the daddy is Biblical, might somebody please teach me the place it says God the Son or God the Holy Spirit? i'm no longer able to discover it everywhere. particularly than coaching a confusing trinity, the Bible shows that Jehovah is the real God, Jesus is his purely-begotten Son, and the holy spirit is God's energetic stress. they do no longer look to be a area of a trinity.

The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are distinct in relationship towards one another, but they one ontologically. Just think of a triangle. It has three distinct lines, but there's only one triangle. Likewise, there's three distinct personal relationships, but one God.

God is the Father and Jesus is the Son. Yet they are one. Jesus was with the Father when He created the world. In the beginning was the Word(Jesus), and the Word was God, and the Word was with God....

Yes, three divine persons, one God.

Those who see no other option for the saving of their souls, will find peace and solace in the only thing that works for them, that Gods only son, aye, even God himself, died to save their poor souls.

Those who find solace in knowing that their own actions, and not the actions of other people, lead them to heaven, believe otherwise.
