He's dead. He was my best friend and the greatest dog in the eight years I knew him. And he's dead. Why did God give him Diabetes? Diabetes killed him. Why?

God did not give your dog, diabetes! That is absurd! What God gave you was the choice to feed your dog, what you did! It is about knowledge and loving and caring for your pet as best as you can! Nutrition has so, so,so, much do do with all the diseases in this world and yet so many, don't care to know! I am so very sorry for your loss, and I can only try to imagine, but do not blame this on God! It was always your choice! God bless!

I am sorry for your loss. Sometime in the future perhaps you may be able to sense his spirit around you, trying to comfort you.The body dies, but the spirit lives on.
If you believe in reincarnation, the dalai lama says that people who are bad at being people are reborn as animals. If they are good animals they have a chance to be reborn as people again. It sounds like your dog was headed in the right direction, if that helps any.
As for the diabetes, it could be some sort of karmic lesson between you and the dog. Perhaps he cared for you when you were sick in another life and now you cared for him in this life as payback. There is no cut and dried answer to that question.

I dont know how to explain this since the concept of understanding it is also new to me, but anyways some things in life are of earth and man, and some are Godly, how do I say this your physical being is of earth and your soul is godly. God doesnt give it to him it just is not for any reason inperticular well if it is to humans its to learn a lesson about life that is required to be understood to understand life. This is getting rediculous so i'll just say it wasnt God it just was maybe in the end it happened for you to learn something so try to focus and find out what it is you may not know until later in life but you will, good luck Kim

My dog has lymph node cancer and it is aggresive, he doesn't have very long. It is very sad, but I don't blame it on God though. The vet told me it is quite common for dogs of that age, and size, to get that. It just was so sudden.
I know how you feel, but there are a lot of things in todays world that could have contributed to it, like the various produced pet foods, pollution/indoor, outdoor, stress. Only time will lessen the pain.

The soul that was reincarnated into your dog had worked up enough good kharma for a promotion.

I hope that when the suffering of your dog became bad, you were humane enough to give him the release he needed.

If you know someone who is preganent (or just given birth), think of the child as having the soul of your dog, and try to love that child as you loved the dog. In psych terms, I think that's called transferrence.

You must not be a very happy person...not only because your dog died...but because you're hoping to see how many silly answers the "fundies" give you.

Maybe you should read C.S. Lewis. It would be more constructive.

C.S. Lewis was an athiest who discovered the beauty of the Christian religion...and even figured out why bad things happen.

"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
C. S. Lewis "

Maybe god hates you and your dog?? Or maybe your dog just got diabetes and god is fake. Fake seems more probable to me.
