Since I was about 9, I have been categorized as a non-believer in any religion concerning an "invisible yet visible" higher power. I don't bash religions like these, because I don't want to snub the devotee's faith, but I don't know exactly what I am. I believe that there is a higher power prevalent in our lives that keeps us wholesome and safe, but does not necessarily want us to "worship" them because it would be in turn an unrequited faith, which makes you not believe in them anymore when they do not answer our prayers. Confusing, right? Feel free to join everyone else who I've told this to's side if you will while answering this long winded question for me: What exactly is my explanation for religion called?

Deist. They believe in a god that started the ball rolling but doesn't get involved in day to day life.
However, it sounds like you have a generic belief because you realize nonsense for what it is. Religion is myth. There are no gods. But you're not at a point where you're ready to admit that. Maybe you will or maybe not. That's up to what you discover for yourself.
If you're interested in the basis for atheism, I recommend Richard Dawkins' new book, "The God Delusion". It is very well written and answers many of the issues you raised here.

I don't know exactly. Can't be atheism because you believe there is a higher power. Maybe Sprituality?
But as for prayer, I believe that God does what he wants. He's not going to say yes to every single prayer. People who believe God is a genie granting them their wishes don't know God. God can be confusing but you understand Him more the more you experience Him.

In my view, faith is exclusively and totally personal. Also, I see religion and faith as two utterly different entities and therefore, not transposable and/or exchangeable. Consequently, relating or comparing faith to religion and visa versa is not only mistaken but erroneous as well. Nevertheless, “I find no reason not to accept the existence of an “Orphic” divine power; for I am aware of no rational wisdom leading me to believe otherwise.”

As an atheist, I can be honest. You are a deist. That's a big step, and proves you're a free thinker. Good for you. But, it can also be a stepping stone to agnosticism and atheism.
What you're going through sounds very similar to what happened to me. I decided at age 11 that my evangelical church was baloney. I first decided I was a deist and gradually transitioned through agnosticism to atheism. Not saying that will necessarily happen to you, but I have seen that it is not unusual. I am 40 today, btw, an finally dropped the agnostic thing about 15 years ago.

You can definitely rule out calling yourself an atheist. Agnostics are people who say that they cannot determine whether or not there is a God. A deist believes there is a God but that he does not interfere in our lives.

Deist... or agnostic. 'Gnosis' is the Greek word for knowledge, 'agnostic' means without knowledge. Either you believe in a higher power, or you admit you don't know. The choice is yours, and only you can make it. What are you?

it is good that you are seeking answers. but, your idea on worship is an uninformed one. You are created to worship, In fact to worship your creater God. If you will think about it everybody holds one or more things above all others.these are things they care about most ,the abilityin essence worship.freewill is the ability to choose what you do. trust in Jesus Christ

Since yo believe in a higher power, but don't think their is any real evidence for it or where exactly it is coming from, you are a Deist.

Maybe you should read C.S. Lewis. C.S. Lewis was an athiest who discovered the beauty of the Christian religion.
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
C. S. Lewis "
