I am most familiar with Christianity. I find the brutality of the crucifixtion to be potentially harmful to teach impressionable children. The idea of a vengeful God is also potentially harmful. What are your opinions???

yes, I agree with you...the crucifixtion of Jesus was brutal. But it was necessary for Him to die in our place to save us from our sins. I believe it is important to impress upon children the importance of Christ's death on the Cross. The cool thing is, He's alive today...He rose again on the third day. No, it's certainly not bad for children's mental health to be told the Gospel. I think it would be even more harmful to let them meander through life without the knowledge of the God who loves and created them. God isn't vengeful...He's merciful, loving, and just. He's the opposite of vengeful...in fact, if He was vengeful, we'd all be wiped off the face of the planet. His justice had to be satisfied so He died in our place. That's not vengeance.

GOD is not vengeful, hes tough but very forgiving because HE sent JESUS to die on the Cross for all our sins, and we just need to trust in HIM.
