No.

This reminds me of a story:

"Guy is stranded on his roof during a flood. Boat comes and tries to rescue him. Guy says God will do it. Boat leaves. Helicopter comes and tries to rescue him. Guy says God will do it. Helicopter leaves. Guy drowns. Asks angel why God did not help him. Angel says that God sent him a boat and a helicopter."

I believe that God would do as best He saw fit. It might be His will to call me home, or it might be for me to be rescued. The thing to keep in mind is that this life is not the last, nor the longest. As the apostle Paul said, to live is Christ, but to die is gain.
As it happens, I have been in a life-or-death scenario, and I lived. Whether my survival was a result of direct divine intervention or through God acting in advance by putting the right people in the right places I do not know.

If I was suddenly stranded on an island that would be a blessing in some other scenario, Yes God would help me, most definitely.

It depends on God's will for your life. God saved Daniel from the lions den and his buddies from the burning furnace. On the other hand someone who is a devout Christian might die. But no matter what God does everything for a purpose. The death of a person might affect someone else ( think of Hope Stout - the cancer girl and the Columbine Incident, such things like this might help someone to have a stronger faith!)

Ok, here's my thoughts. First off.....have I listened to Him when He tried to get me to go to survival school? Or did I turn down an opportunity to learn special skills that could be used in that event?Or whatever it was that got me into that situation? Or did I not listen to Him when He tried to get me NOT to get on that plane or boat or whatever it was that got me stranded? Did I not use the good common sense He gave me? Ok, so if that was the case...then it was MY fault that I got in that situation in the first place. OR......did He have a better reason to put me there? Was I sent there to learn a valuable lesson? Something that I would learn and use later on in life? Maybe so.....so whatever reason I got there.....I can ask God to help me. He can say no, then maybe it was my time to go......OR....He can say yes...and send help...or say yes but not right now. Whatever HIS decision is....I would either live or die by it. And since I love and trust Him with my life...whatever He decides is ok with me.

Why wouldn't He? If I were stranded, it would be for His purposes, probably to tell another person there about His son Jesus Christ because the person wouldn't hear about Him any other way. For example, " In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed: Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary" (Acts 28:7-10).
This was the result of Paul being shipwrecked on an island.

The only way God would be able to help you is to help you be strong in times of trouble. Your faith in God is what helps you to focus and helps keep you from becoming irrational. People are irrational creatures, and succomb to dilusional panic or destructive coercement easily. YOU have to believe in God as you would expect God to have you believe, not as others say God would have you believe.

In matters relating to God, the term 'help' is very ambiguous. It could mean a pilot glancing down at the exact moment he flies over, a box of food that fell off of a ship washing ashor, or even simply giving you a painless death. I know He would help me if I was there. I just don't know what means he would use to do so.
