I reckon that if there were no religions in the world (hallelujah!!) then humans would still seek truth in something as this is our nature.

Perhaps instead of lining the pockets of the heads of church, encouraging hateful intolerant dogma and supporting the war machines, genocide of the 'non believers', people would look to the true wonders of the universe that nature shoves under our noses every single day.

Spirtuality does not need to boxed into the structured religion of power hungry, money hungry, cruel and unusual establishements it is a personal journey that should not be dictated from birth

Grrrrrr, I could waffle on at tedious length but I'm sure it won't win me any fans!

Well, it would not be possible. If religions were banished, new ones- or the old ones - would form again.

But say there were none, for whatever reason, I actually think the world would be in a worse state than it is now because people would be repressed and would feel as though they had nowhere to turn.

Also, religion sets rules and boundaries. Without those, there would be a lot more crime.

The other thing about religion which is perhaps controversial is that it is an 'insurance policy' - without it, people would be admittedy autonomous but not necessarily in a positive way.

I am not religious, but I vote we keep it.

better - everyone would realize that each individual's point of view is sacred and special - each and every person would feel closer to their true nature without a dogma getting in the way and making them feel separate from themselves and others

most war is caused by religion one way or another......sorry

so if we didn't have them and people didn't have so much to go on about maybe we wouldn't have half as many wars
