Yep. No loving father will love one child more than the other. The same is true of all people no matter their relgion. Religions want more followers because it means more power on earth, they are fooling everyone because God's power is love and doesn't need earthly rules.

I hear you, I feel very much the same way, but what can you do? I try to live my own life without hate, but how can I reach so many other people? I think this is part of the reason why I am Agnostic. I just get so fed up with hate filled religion and I know most religions are suppose to be peaceful, but sadly that is far from the truth.

I agree with you religion does divide. All of these people can say that it doesn't, but, it does. Holy books written thousands of years after the prophets spoke are bound to (and have been proven in some cases) have been tampered with by well-meaning believers. And, I find that the major religions tend to be more intellectual than spiritual, more dis-empowering than empowering. Spirituality is the common thread that binds us all to one another, and to God. Yet, it isn't the main focus of any of the major religions. Dictate, dictate, dictate...that's what the fun-dies do, and if you scratch just beneath the surface, most aren't practicing their own sermons. It's sad, religion isn't an institution I'm interested in... Spirituality...that's all inclusive, and I'm all for one(ness).

Religions dont divide.
People do.
Think about this.
God sends a message to people, through out the ages.
Every time He does, the message is ignored, if accepted it is accepted only if its twisted enough to be used to fulfill power hungry needs, and condemn other people.
All the messengers have been stoned, cast out, shown hate etc etc.
So humans have always been the same.
But they have also been great. Humans, who have been touched and inspired by God have done many a good.
How many atheists have actually went out of their way to feed the poor, so much so that they themselves went out of food?
How many countries, that have internalized atheist politics, have advanced in any way.
Remember, the only two countries in the world who were openly atheist were Russia and Albania.
I dont see them helping anyone, or improving themselves for that matter.

Speaking of Christianity only for now; it is not that the rules are that much different than the rules for Jews (similar, not identical) now. It is the application by people (here in the USA presently) that leaves something to be desired.
The application (or lack thereof) of the rules may be why 'Christianity' may be getting a 'bad name' amongst many atheists and agnostics here on Y R&S presently.

simply by fact Christianity as all of us know it at the instant, replaced into formed with the aid of a weakening Roman Empire, who replaced into desperately attempting to consolidate power. The empire replaced into crumbling and that they mandatory a motor vehicle to maintain all and sundry at the same time. Christianity replaced into the latest faith going around, and Constantine regarded that utilising it may help him save his interest. next popes found out theat the various concept structures in Christianity and Paganism would desire to be consolidated so as to improve the fold, so voila! Jesus replaced into born on December twenty 5th miraculously on the comparable day simply by fact the wintry climate solstice social gathering. Then the canonization technique sealed the deal and formalized the religion and the darkish a protracted time began. Christians as an entire, do in simple terms not care to look into the historic past of their faith, simply by fact this is in simple terms too tender.

Step back and look at the whole picture Christians are not hate groups we love the sinner but hate the sin. Sin is evil and does no one any good. We believe in black and white, right and wrong. Not what feels good for the moment.

It's not religion that divides us but religious practices.
We (humanity) are offended by certain religious behaviour.
Most of us try to tolerate it but not all succeed.
