I feel that some people are born this way and nothing can be done. I think that these people may be right in God's eyes. I can not say for sure though, because I am not the Lord.
Why do I feel this way?
I talk to people. People who have felt this way and want so badly to change but can do nothing to hide their feelings towards those that they are attracted to...and possibly love....

Look, I'm a Christian and I don't believe just because a person has gay tendancies they are going to burn in hell. God views all sin the same way. It's if that person acts on his or her sin repeatedly with no remorse and no intention of changing. God did not intend for people to be gay. No one is born gay. I believe a gay person can be set free from their homosexuality and indeed many have been and live full and rich heterosexual lives. This is what I believe and I think God's Word will back it up.

I am sorry that you see it so differently than me. How you view the issues in the world reflects how you view God. If you see him as unjust and unfair, you will see everything in life as unjust and unfair. I choose to see him as the Bible says he is, Loving and kind and merciful.
I am still not sure on the whole being born gay or choosing to be gay, but I am leaning towards being born gay. With that said, a lot of people are born with things that are hard, but that they have to learn to live with. A person prone to alcoholism has to stay away from alcohol and etc.
I know it sounds cruel, but God is always there for us. He says that he can get us through anything, and that this life is short. Earth is not our home, just a place where we learn lesson and get closer to God and learn to depend on him till we get to heaven.
Also, no one knows another persons heart but God. None of us can tell anyone else that they are going to hell, that is only for God to decide and for us to love and tell about Gods love.

How in the helk do you, or anyone else for that matter, KNOW he will burn in hel.l?????? Unless God Almighty in all His glory comes down and tells me that, I refuse to believe it. Oh and I'm Catholic.
I am so sick of people judging other people. Or saying they know how God feels about someone. I think there will be a lot of gayness in Heaven and I'm not just talking about Happy People here. It is pathetic to me to believe that an all loving God would hate anyone.

You are asking a very pertinent question.
The reality is though that some questions are beyond our understanding.
The God that I see revealed in Jesus is far more loving than many of us Christians. The truth is that the Gallilean is too big for our small minds.
I have discovered that Y'shua HaMaschiach liberates. BUT no-one else has the right to assume that they know all that others need to be liberated FROM.
Hope that helps.

Most Christians believe that sexual activity is for making babies and that anything else is potentially sinful. At one time, people who didn't want to breed, didn't have sex.
We now have a society where sexual fulfillment is seen as some kind of right whether it's heterosexual, homosexual or autosexual although we still draw the line at paedophilia.
This child won't burn in hell because of his feelings or inclinations. He might separate himself from God by the way he puts these into practice, but so might we all.

It is obvious the bible was written by men who were primitive and had a hatred of homosexuality, women and anything that isn't male. That is why they think God is a male.
God has given us a brain to think with. "conversations with God" is an interesting series of books to read.
with all the wars and terrible things happening I don't think God is too worried if 2 people of the opposite sex fancy each other.
God is not homophobic -people are and it suits their own prejudices to read something in the bible that confirms their prejudices.
Religion holds the intellect back and causes more problems in the world.
Chill out.

God gives us free will and the ability to choose. It seems like God would prevent us from doing the things that he does not like and it almost seems ludicrist to allow us to do the things that will cause us misery later. But God wanted us to be able to make our own decisions and unfortunately innocent people get hurt, suffer, or die in the process.
People often ask why God allowed all of those people to die on 9/11 or why God didn't stop those planes when he could see what was about to happen. God did not intend for the horrible things of the world to take place nor did he want them to happen. But when God first decided that he wanted to give us free will, what tends to make life unplesant is the result of very bad people who do very bad things.
Therefore all those who choose to obey his word and his teachings will have the wisdom to avoid the dangers and to be protected from the horrible things that happen.

he's not going to hell. because of original sin, the human race has been deteriorating since the beginning. chromosomes and what-not get jacked up and some people are born gay. I have no doubt he is one who is born gay and he should find someone to be committed to, stay safe and find a church that accepts him.
That said, homosexuality is still a sin and is contrary to the Bible. We all are contrary to the Bible in various ways...we cannot change that so thank God for Grace!!

I am a male with an average libido. I was born to want to have sex with as many woman as possible. I'm married. It's against God's law for me to commit adultery, to act out on my innate desires (remember, I was BORN to have sex with many woman). I chose not to ignore God and follow his command. The key word here is chose. Everyone must make a decision and everyone that rejects God directly and chooses not to follow his law will reap the consequences of their action.
