I'll let you in on a little secret: Religious conservatives change over time too, just like liberals, but they are a few decades behind.

First liberals were against slavery, but conservative Christians still supported it.

A few decades later, whoops, turns out we were wrong, God doesn't like slavery. But He still *loves* racial segregation and He would never want us to let black kids and white kids go to school together. Meanwhile, liberals think we ought to integrate the schools.

A few decades later, whoops, turns out we were wrong, God doesn't like segregation and clearly He wants us to all go to school together. But He still doesn't want us to let women into the workplace! Meanwhile, liberals think we ought to let women work and vote and do everything men do.

A few decades later, whoops, turns out we were wrong, God is totally cool with women voting and everything. But He still hates gay people! They're all going to hell and He would never want to let them get married.

Meanwhile, liberals are saying that Christianity and homosexuality are not mutually exclusive. And they say we ought to let gay people get married. Hmmm... I wonder if this issue will progress exactly like every other social issue over the last 200 years has?

So if you're part of the Christian Right, here's what you do: For now, you still grumble a little bit about feminists and you say no freaking way are gay people getting married. Then in 20 years when every person in their right mind, and every politician, admits that gay people should be able to get married, you change your mind and say that God would want us to be open and accepting. And you forget all about the liberals who told you that 20 years earlier.

THEN, you listen to what the liberals are grumbling about next, and you declare that God hates it! And that anyone who supports it is Godless and is going to hell!

Everyone is convicted differently from God. If everyone wanted to deal with the same issue, there would be a lot of things left unattended. It just seems like these days that Christians are majorly against homosexuals because is it a big topic these days and widely publicized.
There are many groups out there trying to help people with things from anger issues, promiscuity, alcoholism and etc. Those things just don't get waved around because they don't get ratings or aren't all that interesting.
Oh and I am not trying to be rude, but honestly want to just clarify that I have neer seen anywhere in the Bible where it tells a women to call her husband Lord.

Certain hot-button issues, such as homosexuality and abortion, are used to great effect by the leaders of the Religious Right to manipulate and shear the sheep. They want to turn this country into a theocracy, so they use emotional stimuli to sway the religious voters to vote theocrats into power. Soon it may be too late to stop them, we must act!

women are to be submissive, that doesn't mean they are inferior to men. God doesn't want women or homosexuals to be treated unfairly, but He does say that homosexuality is wrong. He still loves them just as much though.

Many Christians are asking why so much focus is put on the one supposed sin too.

As for your verse:
The very next verse states that the husband should be equally submissive to his wife. Convenient you would forget to include that.

As you get older you will learn that people worry about and even fear those things that they are afraid of becoming. The religious fear the gay community simply because they know how easy it would be for them to slip into an "alternative" life style them selves. I offer Ted Haggard as evidence along with all of the Catholic priests that have done, and continue to do the choir boys in their churches.

some christians are so unhappy in their own little brainwashed pathetic lives that they play the gay hate card to make themselves feel superior, happens in politics too, usually to distract from real issues, homosexuals have and will always be a punching bag, which is sad,but typical of some christians.

God knows each of us separately knows when we are going to be born, what our purpose in life is to be, and when we are going to leave this earth. All the other issues are a test.
