Ok here is me- a thinking man that went to a christian school etc. so I understand the basics of christianity and all the rest as learnt in religious studies etc.
ok so nowdays I am tossing up if i am a atheist or non practicing christian.
So obviously I have doubts about a fews things so here goes
1. Where in the bible does it say to be a good christian you must go to church? Also same q' giving money to the church?
2. Who wrote the structure for mass? Yes i know it was practiced by jesus but why is it so forced and structured in the church?
3. How do we know that the bible isnt just a hand me down of stories much like aesops fables?
4. how much of what is in the blible is simply misinterpretation and or pompus lies to enhance the storie by the authors?
5. If god created us what were the dinosaurs- a trail run? Were we an after thought.
6. What was god doing before he created earth? Just kicking back playing the playstation?
oh i have more can you answer these 1st?

Keep holy the sabbath one of the commandments, It means you take time from your work, play and rest to honor and respect god.
Giving money to the church is in the parable of the talents told by Jesus, Talents a term for coins can be interpreted two ways Treasure ( used for outreach within the immediate community) and for those who lack treasure give your time or talent, Why? It reminds us that we are part of a greater community that must work together for the betterment of the community which in turns makes it better for the indidvidual.
Structure of the mass evolved over hundreds of years and was reviewed many times, Google- council of nicea, early 1 century.
Visit vatican website they have everything even history prior to the division of the christian churches.
The bible, only if you can read the original language it was written will you understand the depth and insight.
Next ask what was left out of the bible, many books were left out research credible sites.
Did God create us is Seven days or seven million years. Does God need to track time and mark it? Dinosaurs, part of evolution just like many other creatures.
Think as a scientist or inventer or artist, imagine having unlimited power and resources... Of course God sat back and played Playstation 2. Where do you think most of his ideas came from, Planets, stars, comets, astoriods, the big bang?

Okay here goes,Christ founded the church on Peter and the Apostles and gave them authority to act in His name so if the church tells us to go to Mass or to Worship we should obey as we would obey Christ Himself.
The Mass is still the same sacrifice that was experienced by the young church and Peter and the Apostles celebrated it and although the Popes have added certain prayers, it is still basically the same today.
Along with the written Bible we also have what is called Tradition,this is the testimony of honest and holy Men and Women some of whom gave their lives to show the truth of scripture.
The Dinosaurs obviously served some kind of purpose in God`s creation plan and havind done so were taken out of the picture to allow Man to flourish.
What God was doing before He created the universe is unknown.
