As a reservations agent for Ramada Inns I had to book Catholics into rooms in Conyers, Ga. This so they could see the Blessed Virgin. I, of course, was not allowed to say anything "smart assed" like: do you want a room with a view. (To detractors: I was raised Catholic. Baptised and Confirmed, and I still think this is stupid.)

I agree, it IS stupid. But someone's gotta shear the sheep, so why not you?

I live in Conyers... not sure where the "Blessed Virgin" is at, though. In fact, I'm not aware of any virgins in this piss hole town, holy or otherwise. After the the big teen syphilis outbreak of '99, the word "virgin" became extinct here,.. even for the Catholics.

I have to listen to them talking about nonsensical stories all day long without laughing in their faces.
