I honestly think the most important thing personally that he taught was putting God first. I know it sounds text book, but seriously. The love your God command takes everything else with it. If you can find love for God, and seek him first in your life, the rest will naturally follow. When you love God and ask him to be with you through everyday, you will figure out the rest. So yeah I think the importance of an active RELATIONSHIP with the Lord was the best teaching personally.

Tolerance and understanding of others, especially when their views differ from yours.
Too many Christians seem to forget that part of his teachings these days.

To love eachother. this is the message that has been the most ignored. good message. if christians would only do what this one message teaches then mabyee we wouldent have religious wars.

Maybe John 12:47 :
"And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."
So, if even Jesus doesn't judge us unbelievers, why should his followers?

Love God with everything you have. Followed only by, love one another too.
That's how He answered when asked what the most important commands were.

For me, to love one another.If the world would live by that one teaching we would all be so Happy and Loved.

To love Him with all your heart, soul, mind & strength. The second is this, Love your neighbor as yourself.
