The history channel said that God himself drove the stakes into his sons hands and feet. I think this is starting to sound like a fairy tale. I was a christian 2 days ago. But, that changed my mind I think. Is the history channel facual?

Do we have to accept what used to be so morally wrong in our American culture? Do we have to be politically correct about things we once thought were dead wrong? Almost nothing shocks us anymore; are we becoming numb to "Acceptance and Tolerance"? Accepting, tolerating and making excuses for almost ANY behavior?
And no, I am not an old granny, I have a 9, 8 and 3 year old, but I'm just sick of the immorality in this world today and very afraid for my children!
Will it get worse or better?
What do you think? And what can we do?

Trinity? Virgin birth? Miracles?

The trinity is not mentioned in the bible, and Jesus certainly never said anything about it at all. Matthew 28:19 was written 100 years after Jesus died by a man that couldn't have possibly been one of his disciples.

Virgin birth you say? Why don't you worship Adam and Eve then? They were made out of dirt and bone.

Miracles were performed by saints too. How come you don't become a St. Thereasanian?

Have you been feeling kind of down? We all do from time to time, but I've got good news. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perfom it until the day of Jesus Christ:

So how is it going for you?

if repenting is asking for god's forgiveness, then isn't that just like "praying" what's your definition of repentance and do you do this every time you sin?

"god exists because there is a god. So, he has to exist."

That's pretty much it. A circular argument that proves nothing at all. Let's put this in a way many of you will understand;
If I were to tell you that the Green fairies create and make plants grow, would you believe me?
Plants exist don't they? Therefore, the Green Fairies must exist.
Plants grow don't they? Therefore, the Green Fairies must exist.

This is the same, inane argument you yourselves use to demonstrate the existence of god. Pathetic isn't it? I mean what mental midget would fall for such a sad trick?
Would you?
Oh and don't start with the "but the green fairies don't have a book written about them" routine. I submit that god has one book written about him, and Aslan the lion of Narnia has 6. Does that make Alsan real? Of course not.
In conclusion; god is imaginary. Nothing more. There isn't a shred of credible evidence to support it's existence. No more so than the Green Fairies. I trust you'll agree...

2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

This is one of the reasons non-believers can't understand the Bible, Satan, the god of this world has blinded their minds.

So are you still in darkness? Your answer will tell.

Seriously. They all have those whack-job stickers on their cars, have a bible quote ready at all times and just have that look of 'brain-wash' on their faces? It's kind of a zombie-like look. You know what I'm talking about? For further insight, sit in on a church service and listen to the monotone way some of those creepy Jesus people respond. Scary.

I have been feeling jealous and envious of this woman I know. I for some reason find myself comparing my life to hers and end up feeling inferior. I've prayed about it but I keep thinking about her in a jealous way, what seems like all the time! I think her relationship is better than mine, her house is nicer, her job is better, she's prettier/skinnier, etc.

What does the bible say about envy (I know it's a sin) and how to overcome it??

Thanks.
