Oh, yes, there was a Virgin Mary. All of her chronicles and her diary have been pulled from the "official" Bible by the Vatican because it goes 100% against what they are teaching and teaches that the Vatican itself is an evil organization that should never exist.

In the meantime, you can find full information about Mary, her extremely early religious years and beliefs (from birth to age 5), and then a second installment all about the blackmail of Joseph, the forced marriage, the escape from her hometown, the rejection by the inns for a pregnant child and her husband, findig one place that would let them sleep in the manger (essentially, "go hide there and dont show yourself"), and the birth of Jesus.

Mary married Joseph somewhere between the age of 5 and 6, and gave birth to Jesus somewhere between the age of 6 and 7. She was a child bride. She did not have any other children until later on (when she grew up!). The birth of Jesus is considered to be a miricle because she essentially grew up in a Nunnery (the Temple), was verified a virgin at the age of 5 to the Temple (necessary before marriage), and then married Joseph and became pregnant at an age that is deemed impossible to be pregnant. This is why the birth is considered to be both a Virgin birth and a Miricle - because she was verified a virgin, and it was impossible for her to be pregnant in any way shape or form.

Anyways, search around, there is a ton of historical information. There is also a ton of written content by Mary's mother out there too - about 2,500 pages worth. This was also hidden by the Vatican.

Seek the Truth and you shall eventually find it!

Whether you are religious or not, Jesus was a truly beautiful person by any standards; preaching love and forgiveness in a way which is still relevant to-day.

Such was the purity of his intent. The current Jesus is the Christian Church, and whilst not remotely pure, it does sometimes represent the best of that which human beings are capable.

Nothing even comes close to the "pure love" which Jesus represented: even in non-religious, humanistic language.

Central to the idea of purity is the idea of "untouched by sin," and as sex was regarded as essentially sinful in Old Testament days, it would have been regarded as quite wrong that a Messiah could be born of a man and a woman in the normal way: let alone to an UNMARRIED single mother, whether "betrothed" or not.

"If" Jesus was born to a very young single mother, then there would have been serious obstacles to the idea that her first-born son could be "the Son of God" or the "Messiah," and it is for this reason alone, that a Gospel writer like Luke (a Jewish physician) either invented or elaborated the myth of the Virgin Birth, so that "Jesus the Son of God" could be acceptable to Jewish society.

When that crosses several cultures and 2,000 or more years, we lose sight of how important the mythology was, and how critical the idea of a "pure birth."

It was no scam, but merely "artistic licence" on the part of those who wanted others to share in the beautiful and very meaningful example which Jesus himself set.

In the modern world, we don't have to worry about "virginity" as being the only real "purity"....."untouched by the world."

The deeper truth is the fact that Jesus was born, and his mother's name was Mary. The jury may still be out about his father, but in reality, Jesus would have called Joseph "dad" when they were in the family home.

It is the purity of the love which really matters, and which crosses all faiths and none at all; bringing a message of peace and goodwill to ALL mankind, and not just selected bits of it.

The "pure love" of Mary and Joseph in a stable, and the baby Jesus lying in a manger, is a beautiful idea, and may well be true.
If love is God, then God was there with them.

I don't think one has to be religious or have belief in a virgin birth to accept the possibility that Jesus was born to show people how to love others and how to live in peace and harmony.

It's not a SCAM. It was just Matthew reading the Septuigent.

Basically, the Septuigent is a greek translation of the original HEBREW Old Testement. They translated the word "almah" there (young woman) to "virgin" and he went with that. The original Old Testement never said virgin. Getting a link.

Here, wiki does a decent job. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_Birth Google "almah" and Virgin for lots of documentation tho.

You'd better have incontrovertible proof for an event that is biologically impossible before you believe it.

Oh you have? It was written down 2 generations after the event by people trying to support a new cult. Well, that's good enough I suppose.

Next you'll be telling me I can affect the material world and how other people act by sustained wishful thinking...Oh, yeah, right, whatever.

Yes there was a virgin Mary. I believe that all of the Bible is true. I feel sorry for all those who don't and I pray for them every day. They don't know what they are missing in their lives.

What if the poeple that believe in Christ as their savour, were to stop thinking about what he, God, and the holy spirit as a divine being that lives in heaven, on clouds, or in the sky that you cant see. What if heaven is another planet in another solar system that we go to when we die, and the only way to get there is through a worm hole or a black hole. And angels are like aliens or something. They could just be a very advanced civilization.. I am not neccesseraly saying it is true. but you never know!!!
