I think most denominations started on that basis. And many different denominations get along just fine with each other on that basis, even though they have different understandings of some secondary matters.
Some denominations seem to have drifted far away from Biblical principles over time.
Is it a sin to name a denomination? No, not if we don't idolize our denomination.
Once, when I started a church, we talked about naming it. I asked: Should we just call it "Christian"? No, because that was also a problem in 1 Corinthians. So I asked: "Should we look to find a name in the new Testament? "Church of God"? That name has been taken by a denomination that believes certain things, which, although we respect them as Christians, do not completely represent my beliefs. "Christian brethren?" That name was taken too. And as a church we hadn't chosen to go with the form of worship and church government that the movement of that name followed. So I said: For people form outside, we need to identify ourselves so they know who they are dealing with. We also needed to have a name to be an incorporated entity before the government.
So we identified ourselves with the denomination we had most in common with, without feeling it was the only "right" denomination. What is important, I think, is not so much what we call or don't call ourselves, but rather what our attitude is. We need ot have a humble, loving, Christlike attitude to all believers, and to non-believers as well.
Sometimes people say "we won't be part of any denomination" - and too often are just starting another division of the Christian church!

The Church replaced into the townspeople who persevered sharing Scripture, enlightening the tens of millions of persons and of direction using masons, builders, you call it. once you have thousands of illiterate churchgoers, it facilitates to apply different styles of communique and paintings like shape, sculpture and portray, to coach Christ's message. One image of Christ demise on the go communicated lots better than thousands of readings of the keenness. you place the tale of creation on the actual of the Sistine Chapel, and brother, you will attain right into the hearts of everybody that sees it. through fact of this the Pope's commissioned such super paintings. they had no clue, NO CLUE, the value that should a minimum of sometime be assigned to that paintings interior the destiny. It replaced into basically what they did to share the word of God. money had no longer something to do with something on the subject of cathedrals. at present, visitation to those vast churches ends up in many money occurring to the undesirable and needy. priests of direction, even the Pope, lead quite austere lives, especially missionary priests who stay in destitute aspects of the international for some years at a time. might that they might practice their flock the elegance of those churches you have shared. Europe stands on my own in its center-age expression of Roman Catholic team spirit. the concentration consistently would be taking good care of the undesirable and spreading the sunshine of the residing Christ.

Call it non-denominational.

Every church has their own little variations and practices.
