I think most denominations started on that basis. And many different denominations get along just fine with each other on that basis, even though they have different understandings of some secondary matters.
Some denominations seem to have drifted far away from Biblical principles over time.
Is it a sin to name a denomination? No, not if we don't idolize our denomination.

What is important, I think, is not so much what we call or don't call ourselves, but rather what our attitude is. We need ot have a humble, loving, Christlike attitude to all believers, and to non-believers as well.
Sometimes people say "we won't be part of any denomination" - and too often are just starting another division of the Christian church!
