Aside from the minority that are now communists, most liberals I know, including those socialist, either buy into Unitarian Universalism, Peganism, Buddhism, or some other form of new age religion or imported religion from the east. And yes, I do realize saying this about liberals is (somewhat) stereotipical, but it is based on my observations from when I lived in San Francisco and Berkeley. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Seriously, where did this myth originate? The fact that communism is attributed as being Atheist?

P.S. I'm speaking of American Atheists. Canadian Atheists give me a similar impression. I don't know much about those Atheists in Europe/Australia/Africa/Latin America.

When I was 10, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a woman at the foot of my bed. She had brown skin and black shoulder length hair, but she had no facial features. She also had on a long white gown that glowed, but didn't illuminate my room. It scared me and I even blinked my eyes to see if it was real. I didn't disappear. I then grabbed my covers and ran to my parents room.
Is this a comon phenomenom? What does it mean? Angel or demon? I still haven't forgoten it.

As we know, God can't be tempted by evil. Why then did satan try to tempt God in the wilderness (back then)? Satan knew he would lose, yet he did it anyway. Most unusual!!

They claim they dont believe but spend thier whole day online bashing Christians. If someone doesnt believe why keep on talking about it? Its like if I hated baseball, and spent my whole day at the stadium yelling at the fans saying it sucks.

I believe that there are more sadistic people than people who believe in God out there that are going to pay for it at the time of judgement. What do you think?

I was just reading a yahoo news article about how many states have laws against the sale of beer, wine etc on the sabbath which happens to be New Years Eve this year.

I was thinking about some other laws that would be good :

1. No swimming in honor of Poseidon.
2. No Tanning in honor of Ra, the sun god.

Who's with me?

"I drive by the homeless sleeping on a cold dark street
Like bodies in an open grave
Underneath the broken old neon sign
That used to read jesus saves

A mile away live the rich folks
And I see how theyre living it up
While the poor they eat from hand to mouth
The rich is drinkin from a golden cup"

What are things that non-Christians do that bring YOU harm/discomfort and what are a few ways that we can help the two groups get along easier?
Thanks!
The only thing that bothers me is when non-Christians brutally attack the Christian faith when they know I am standing right there feeling very hurt.I don't mind a few mild jokes here and there but after awhile they begin to get personal....

Are the atheists beliefs the same as this analogy?

This person doesn't know who his/her dad is and can't find any proof about where his/her dad lives/works etc so the person assumes that he/she has no dad. Isn't this basically how atheists explain their reasoning? I mean look around and tell me this all happened by chance.

This is an honest question, not an insult.

By the way, all the questions asked yesterday under this username were not asked by me. My brother got my password...

I have been a christian since I was three, and I've asked my mom why I haven't heard from him yet, and she says that God will talk to me when he knows that I am ready, but I am so yearning to hear his voice, and to give him an answer! I feel that I am never in the presence of God! Why am I so impatient? Help...if you can.

I recently moved away from christianity, and am much happier with what i believe now. The reason i think i believed in God for so long was because i was raised in a christian family.

These people that "bad mouth" other religions and say theres is the only way... do you think they only do that and believe only their religion because they were born into that religion? or because they have ignorance for the unknown. Some people believe the bible teaches people to "bad mouth" other religions!

opinions?

assuming the big bang is true, can jesus and god still exist with the big bang still being true?

Before he appointed himself to become an Apostle after Jesus "contacted him from the dead", Paul hunted down Christians and captured them so they could be tortured and killed. This man personally wrote 15 of the 27 books of the New Testament and also could have had an influence on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Don't you think something is very wrong with the fact that some guy wrote more than half the New Testament, without ever meeting Jesus personally? Oh yeah, by the way, the other 11 Apostles rejected Paul and other disciples tried to kill him.

I always see non-Christians upset about some acts committed by Christians.
Please, what do we do against you that brings you harm/discomfort,and what are ways that we can help the Christians and non-Christians get along easier without someone having to forsake their beliefs?
