It seems like everyone should be pleased. The Christian and other believers know him and the atheists never have to bother with him. So let's all be happy?

I have this friend (she's a girl.) She's funny, but her jokes are always raw, dirty, and explicit.

She cares more about making fun of the kids at our school with problems like Down's Syndrome instead of her homework.

She makes racial and religious jokes all the time.

Then, one day I told her I was an atheist (indirectly).

She looked at me (she's christian) and told me I was a peice of **** and that I would burn in hell for sure.

She doesn't talk to me anymore.

What kind of a friend is she!?!? Why does religion have to do with anything!?!?

And more importantly, isn't christinanity all about being kind and tolerant of your peers?!?!?!

How serious is the Neo Conservative Christian movement that wants to take over the country. I watched Jesus Camp and these people claim that 25% of US citizens are with them? What will happen to non Chrisitans if they take over?

God gave us plenty of evidence that they were not created 8-10 thousand years ago as one of Gods book says (and gods followers try to force on us). God is omniscient, so we won't bore you with our findings because God already knows, right? Is god planning a 2nd edition to the Bible to correct these blatant errors? Was the devil on gods editorial staff?

Is it true that "Paganism and Wicca are officially classed as cults in the UK, not proper religions"?

When the person in question said "officially", I think she meant legally.

I've read that paganism is a legally recognised religion in the US, but I can't find any reference to whether it is defined as a cult or a religion by the UK government,

Someone has compared knowing there is no God with knowing there is no silver in India. To know for certain there is no silver in India, he says you'd need to look under every rock, look at everyone's dental work, look in every bedroom drawer and in every bank to know there was no silver.

I personally think this argument is fallacious. Why? Well for one, God is said to be omnipresent, that is, everywhere. So to prove God does not exist all you have to do is demonstrate there is one place in the universe (or on Earth) that God isn't. If you can prove that, then God doesn't exist. That might not be easy to do, but it's worth a shot.

koran was written only about 6 to 700 years ago. mohomed lived 1400 years ago (if such a man ever existed)

how can muslims believe his life story to be true when the gap between mohomed's life and the actual writing of the koran creates such a huge unbridgeable gap?

(would be thankful if muslims leave Allah's devine power out of this question and use reason to answer me)

When i was in school one of our teachers told us that the stories from the bible, aren't exactly true, but are just an example of the difference between wrong and right?
i'm not sure if that was my teachers opinion..... or thats what all christians believe that they're examples.

Do christians believe that these things actually happened??? Or do they believe it is just a story with a good moral??

It seems that according to the media and the liberal elite that dominates it and most college campuses, being openminded automatically means being pro-gay, and the only reason why someone would not be pro-gay was if they were closed minded. I am not pro-gay but consider myself very openminded. Anyone else like this? Is this possible?

If "even Satan believes in god," then why is Satan in hell? It doesn't matter that "he" is bad then if he believes.

I am Catholic and also really masculine. I don't think that the Church has any specific rulings on the matter, but I wonder if it is wrong for me to act super masculine when I am a female. I mean isn't it a sin to cross-dress? So maybe I should grow my hair out and stop wearing men's clothing... I detest femininity, but I don't want to sin, either. I know it sounds like a naive question but I am serious, so please give a helpful answer or don't answer at all. Thanks in advance, and God bless. Have a lovely Advent.
