What are things that non-Christians do that bring YOU harm/discomfort and what are a few ways that we can help the two groups get along easier?
Thanks!
The only thing that bothers me is when non-Christians brutally attack the Christian faith when they know I am standing right there feeling very hurt.I don't mind a few mild jokes here and there but after awhile they begin to get personal....

When I accepted his blood I accepted his suffering, and Glory Be To God!!!! I welcome the persecution, I don't care what they say I know the God that I serve, and I know that believing in an Atheist did not heal my body and bless me with two children God did it! I know Atheism has not kept my mom alive through her battle with AIDS!!! God did it, I know that is has been God that has protected me through the storm, I know that it is because of God my children have been taken care of when there were no jobs or money to do it!!! I know it was God and no one in this forum make me feel bad about my beliefs, and no Devil in Hell can shake my faith, my faith is in God, and my eyes are on him, I will not be distracted and sink!!!

I usually ignore those who have already decided not to serve Jesus. We probably cannot change them by anything we say. Some people are truly searching, maybe even some who talk big or mean against God are covering for their insecurity. It is those seekers whom we should try to help. If a believer can answer a seeker's question with the Truth, the seeker's conscience will confirm the truth of the answer in his heart, just like the Truth was confirmed by your conscience in your heart when you heard it. False answers are often quite convincing and humanly logical but will never have that "yes that's right" confirmation that the truth creates in a human heart.
Honestly, this Y!A section has some really great responders from all persuasions, and it is a pretty polite group. Try posting a question or answer in politics! Shewww !

They like to think that they're oh-so-smart and that you're such an inferior being. They don't give a damn how you feel.

One thing you can do to counter atheist arguments is to give them something they won't brush off. No quotes from the Bible. No saying "because God wanted us to blah blah blah!"

For example, if someone says that religion should be banned because it causes wars, say that if the perpetrators don't justify a war the name of Jesus, they will justify it in some other means (e.g. for the sake of the nation, for the sake of our wealth, we need the land, the saracens are oppressive, they have WMD's, etc).

You could also say that religion is important because it is a guide to living a beneficial life and a set of moral guidelines for the least harm to you and the people around you. And these days, where not many people take anything seriously, more people stabbing each other in the back, more babies being born out of wedlock, the spread of STD's, more unruly behaviour causing accidents.
As you can see, people need these guidelines. Religion works!

Of course, people will still make mistakes, no matter who you are. Wherever there are humans, there's going to be sin and trouble. No doubt about it. What can I say? No one's perfect. At least we have something to tell us where we might be going wrong, if only we will listen to it.

Our feelings and discomforts are our own fault. We are all equals in the Christian faith and if that is so it's ridiculous to be offended in any way. If you feel bad than why be so? your not offended because your a Christian, but because your human and feel important about yourself. You should not be offended or ridiculed or insulted by anyone because no one is better than anybody else. Sorry sweet pea, but in my experience it's usually Christians who go out of there way to tell people they are wrong and offend them as well as being the least united of any other popular religion(in my opinion). On top of that, how can you possibly attack an inanimate thing unless we Christians make it so.

We can all get along by accepting that we are all different and that maybe none of us are right and keep looking for an answer.

It honestly does not bother me the least when non-Christians attack my faith because I'm strong in my faith. I find it a complement when someone attacks what I believe because I know that the reason they lash out is because the conviction of the Holy Spirit gets to them. Sometimes, their responses to Christianity are just plain hilarious because they are so ignorant or uninformed.

If you are standing next to someone that makes a rude joke about CHristianity, and it really bothers you that much, then politely let them know that what they said isn't polite.

One may talk in praise on one's own faith but no one else's faith should be ridculed. An honest discourse should never be in tones of ridiculing the other person's faith because that can very possibly set the stage for ridicule of one's own faith and cause repulsion. A discussion on points of disagreement should be very polite by simply pointing out that there are a number of opinions on the subject and this one point appeal to my senses and so I believe in it. Everyone has his choice that he makes based on his understanding at a certain time. He has the free choice to change his belief if he finds better understanding of the other side or belief.
"Revile not those whom they pray (i.e pray besides Allah) lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance" says Quran about this subject of ridiculing other faiths. Allah is the name in the Quran for the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad and the other prophets before them and does not refer to any other diety except the one true God mentioned by these exaulted prophets.

Jesus said to rejoice when you are persecuted! The Apostles did! They thought it was great because they got to suffer for Christ!
It used to bother me but i doesn't anymore, they aren't insulting me they are insulting Christ and he can forgive them! Many who whine and say the most are the ones that feel the most guilt many times. Sometimes they are the ones that are on the brink of salvation. You'd be surprised.
Even I used to have many of the same comments as they. But now I know the truth. God was patient withe me and he's patient with them. I just pray they find out before it's too late.
When someone says something mean to you do this; pray for them. Don't say much just pray. You may help win a soul.

Oh my gosh I know...Just the other day I reported abuse to two people for talking bad about God and their opinion of God and what He does, and that He is not real..It really hurt me, because I know He is real, I know the Bible is true...I believe it all...God is my Savior, how could you not believe in Him? I mean, He created you!!!! Duh, So why do people judge Him? Why do people make fun of Him and Christians and people who stand up for Him? Why do people flip birds knowing its not good? Why do people cuss? Why do people drink? Why do people murder others? Why do people commit suicide? Those are questions that only God knows the answer to...God knows why there are people like this...No one will ever understand it, God works in weird ways, But He will get you through whatever hard time you are going through. You know what I dont like? When people who something bad happened to or when someone close to them dies, when they start saying they hate God and He did this on purpose. Well yes, God let it happen, But hopefully that person who died is with Him and in a better place than this cruel world they were in. Am I right? I believe that...What do you believe? I LOVE GOD!

It really angers me when non-Christians assume that I have no understanding of or belief in science. They assume that because I believe in a higher power I must be ignorant.
