As we know, God can't be tempted by evil. Why then did satan try to tempt God in the wilderness (back then)? Satan knew he would lose, yet he did it anyway. Most unusual!!

I think Satan also understood that Jesus was a man who grew up the son of a carpenter, who was just as much a man as he was God while on this earth (see Philippians 2:5ff). Satan knew that if he could pursuade the humanity of Jesus to sway from the Divine course, then he could thwart God's plan of redemption for mankind. Even though it didn't stand much chance, you have to admit it was too good an opportunity to pass up!

And the Writer of Hebrews does tell us that Jesus was tempted just like us, being made of the same stuff we were (flesh and blood), so even though it's hard for us to understand HOW, we have to accept that Jesus could have made the wrong choice- which would have been sad indeed for many reasons. That's why we rejoice that even though he was tempted, he knew no sin! (Hebrews 4:15)

He knew. But he wanted Jesus to falter. Jesus replied with scripture back to Satan. Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days and night just for that very purpose.

Yes, he did realize he was tempting God. Um you know satan is EVIL yeah he know he would lose but think about it like this if you had life in jail then would you care if you got in trouble. Satan know he would lose one way or other.

" ......... God ( cannot be tempted ) with evil, neither tempteth he any man." James 1:13b.Read 2 John 1:7-11 and you will see in verse 9 that they that have the doctrine of Christ have ( both ) the Father and the Son.Both means 2. "For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell ; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption." Psalms 16:10. God would not leave His Son in hell, neither would Jesus allow His Father to be tempted as He was with evil.

Well, since Satan KNOWS MORE THAN YOU, maybe he knows Jesus is not actually God, but God's son. That would be the only thing that made sense.

basically forget approximately the action picture and stick to scripture. Jesus consistently knew who his father replaced into - even before the earth replaced into made. Jhn 17:24 Father, i'm going to that for the period of addition they, whom thou hast given me, be with me the place i'm; that they could behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the beginning of the international.

Stating opinions in the form of questions reverse all meaning the question would ever have posed.
