I had a similar experience. I woke up in the wee hours of the morning and saw what I took to be the hazy outline of a woman at the foot of my bed. I was10 and it terrified me. It *felt* real and I knew that there was no solid person there. For the longest time I could not look at that corner of the room when I was in bed.
She didn't glow but she shimmered, sort of.

A few months ago my wife saw a man sitting up on my side of the bed. I always sit there on the side of the bed to make sure I have my balance before getting up. Well, that was fine until she looked over and saw me lying on my side of the bed fast asleep. She heard a voice that told her he will be alright. She had no idea why the voice said that until a few weeks later when I had a massive heart attack and I amazed the doctors with my recovery. This is a true story. I'm not a miracle but the product of a miracle.

It happened to my uncle when he was 4. He saw a lady in white with no feet at the foot of his bed. My grandmother's aunt said she woke up and saw 3 people and a baby at the foot of her bed. She said she recognized all but one person as dead family members. Who knows what it is. I believe them because I heard the full story and they are my family members. I tend to not believe it's anything real when other people tell me similar stories though. I don't really think it's a demon.
*you can email me if you want to hear the full 'explanation' of what happened in my family because I'm not going to bother to tell it all here.

I saw, not that, but other stuff at exactly the same age. I am 55 and can report no other phenomenon like that since. Look up: hypnogogic dream, and see if anything in the description sounds familiar. You are brave to talk about it, I don't much.

No, I have never experienced that before.
However, my sister, when she was about 9, did experience what she called the ghost of my grandpa. She and my grandma were sleeping in his death bed the week after he was buried and she said she woke up in the middle of the night and saw my grandpa's ghost. We don't know if it happened for sure, or she was just dreaming...

My sister actually had a similar experience when she was younger. However, she claimed that the woman didn't scare her, there was more of a peaceful aura, than an evil one. When she had described her dream to our mother, and grandmother they had told her it sounded as if it was our great grandmother... So it could have been one of your elders... Hope it helps.

no, but once I saw a fat, black woman floating over my bed in the middle of the night. I prayed to Allah that she would not be one of virgins promised to me when I die for the Prophet.

If real hope it never happens again unless that spirit is good and will actually try to make you feel somewhat comfortable. If not then why u be doing this?

wow!
Some children can see things that adults cannot see.
I don't know what you saw or why you saw it.
Perhaps just to tell you that such things do exist beyond your senses, and that not everyone can see these things and not all things that are unseen want to be seen by just anyone. Does that make sense?
