I believe that there are more sadistic people than people who believe in God out there that are going to pay for it at the time of judgement. What do you think?

Now that I have everyone stirred up real good, I would like to say that it has been a pleasure aggravating you. It is amazing to me just how many people get annoyed with someone like myself that makes off the wall comments about religion. I am taking a class in human reaction to stimulus and I definately got some excellent responces out of this group. Thank you for your comments.

I think you are going to be in for a big surprise what you find out that God is unconditionally loving.

No conditions mean nothing to judge.

What do you think of that?

Love and blessings Don

Read and think of what you just said and maybe, just maybe, you'll find what you're looking for if you are really thinking and reasoning like any normal human being, or maybe this words are aliens to your Bible and you don't believe in them. Have you ever heard the old saying that "you rip what you sow' ? Why do you have to insult others who don't believe as you do ? Instead of calling of sadistic why don't you make an intelligent argument about why we shouldn't be rude to yours believes, and while you are in a role why don't you make another equally good argument about the nature of yours believes and why you do so. You never know, maybe you convince some body about the reality and values of yours believes and save him or her today. You will have an equal response as long as you keep telling us that you're right and we're wrong just because you and your church say so. You deserve only mockery and disdain as long you keep telling us that we're going to hell in a hand basket, or that we'll pay a horrible price at the time of some uncertain judgment if we don't believe as you do.

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

I believe in God,and Im not a rude person. I believe that a lot of people don,t believe in God, because they don.t understand things about God. Reading the Bible, praying, having faith, trust. and love There is a God, And I love him very much. He love everyone. You where sent down here to earth to make the right decision on how you want to live your life. And the Book of Mormon has answer and the truth.Get down on your knees and pray those that don,t believe. And ask God for answers to you that don,t believe in God.He answer prayer.

If someone does not believe in God then that person does not feel any afinity with the concept of God so that person does not have any respect or feel no bounds to cross in insulting the concept and the person of God.
Those who believe in the concept of a creator and God feel hurt when their faith in God is ridiculed. This is natural too. That is why God the Almight has cautioned us in the Quar'an with the following words not to ridicule other person's faith and have gentle discourse if there is mutual feeling to do so.
" Revile not those whom they pray (i.e. pray besides Allah) lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance".
Allah is the name in the Quraan for the one true God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad and all the prophets before them.

I believe there are a lot of sadistic people who "believe in God" and claim to be better than others because of it, and that's why we nonbelievers are a little bit rude about not believing in him.

I look at it this way. Have you ever had someone tell you ow stupid you were? They asked you if you were retarded? What are they really saying?

If you were dealing with a very slow person, or a retarded person, would you ridicule that person if they didn't understand what you were trying to say? Probably not.

If these rude people thought that we were misinformed, wouldn't they patiently try to show us the errors of our ways? I think the hostility demonstrates that they choose not to believe, and they resent anyone who challenges their willful unbelief.

No matter which category you fall in there's going to be rude people in it with you. Both groups have those people who are going to try to push their beliefs on to you and get offended when you don't conform to what they think is "right". Everybody has the right to believe in whatever they want. PERIOD.

Being falsely accused of sadism on the back of not agreeing with you about something might provoke an angry response, don't you think?

What happened to "Thou shalt not bear false witness" you smug, lying hypocrite?

.................. And how come none of you Christian apologists even noticed the baseless, gratuitous (one MIGHT even say, sadistic) slur in the question? Ask yourselves!

This goes both ways, there are non-believers who get out of hand bashing religious people. But these people are provoked by religious fanatics trying to force their views down everyone's throat. It's an endless cycle of one group provoking the other.
