Seriously. They all have those whack-job stickers on their cars, have a bible quote ready at all times and just have that look of 'brain-wash' on their faces? It's kind of a zombie-like look. You know what I'm talking about? For further insight, sit in on a church service and listen to the monotone way some of those creepy Jesus people respond. Scary.

Because they were told to be Christian by their parents, and they followed like lambs. The Bible taught them all they know, so they seem brainwashed because they are.

Not to belittle real Christians and people who converted by choice, of course. I respect them completely.

But like any other religion, there are people brainwashed into Christianity.

Some of those folks are really good people, others maybe not so much in the way of personality and ability to convey thiughts and ideas. Everyone has a different reason for choosing this life. It could be based on certain life experiences or just people wake up one day and they hear him call.

I find the ones who are most effective at communication posess the following talents and skills:

They have the same stickers on the cards but one or 2 clever ones, not the whole bookshop.

They know the same bible quotes but invoke them less often and within the context of the conversation rather than just.
filibustering.

When they invoke the bible, they are teaching not just reading out loud.

I have a feeling that the ones who are good are probably more successful in their personal and business ventures as well. I mean would you rather buy a car/buy into god from a shleppy sales guy thats not answering your questions or a polished, attentive pro, that knows why you are there and even if he tells you stuff you might not want to hear, he's giving you the plain truth as it pertains to you.

To answer your questions, the ones who seem creepy aren't really creepy. They just stink at doing this type of thing and oughta look into managing the bake sale or minister to the elderly or folks more their speed. Just good use of the talent your organization has.

I think it's the responsibility of the organization to have their talented folks train the shleppers into becoming effective prostltizers. If they don't, then for everyone the good one gets, the inneffective ones send another prospective congregation member running scared. Thats attrition. Can't build an army that way now can you?

Tedrminat, in case you learn all the subject concerns many crimson flags flow up, you think interior the BOM as mentioned bt Smith that's the main maximum surprising e book on earth. If the e book became stimulated by ability of God then those words are gospel Your leaders made hundreds of modifications and spun a narrative. My pastor doesn't have a monotone. Trust me, I wouldn't go to a church with a pastor who sounded like that...LOL! I want to be informed, not put to sleep. I think the monotone people you're referring to are Catholic priests.

I don't consider myself a whack-job and most Christians don't, anyway. In fact, most Christians don't adorn their cars with stickers, either.

If you got to know me more, you wouldn't consider me to be creepy :)

Those are just the people who are creepy to begin with. Lots of other people like me STRONGLY believe in Jesus, we just don't let you know about it in a way that creeps you out.

My Pastor talks about the type of "Christians" you are describing. He says that when God called out a "peculiar people" for Himself that He just meant not like the people who are slaves to sin, who don't think of anyone other than themselves, and that if someone is weird they shouldn't try and blame that on God. :o)

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (14) Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Yeah I'm a creepy looking Christian alright. I'm covered in tattoos, black hair, and listen to Goth music.

You really need to get out and meet some Christians because you're very clueless.

It depends on how they got there. If they were raised, that's just the way they are. What you see is what you get.

It's the people who are escaping personal destruction by embracing Christianity that are dealing with reality in a more twisted way. Give them plenty of room.

The people you are talking about only think they are followers of Jesus.

Actually their beliefs are just the opposite of what Jesus taught.

Love and blessings Don
