I am a Christian myself, but I'm just curious to know what others think of Christians. That has part to do with the fact that I also get annoyed and a little upset at other Christians who preach the Bible and turn around do exactly the opposite, so I just wanna know.

Shari'a is Islamic Law.
If it was placed next to the Ten Commandments, would that be acceptable to other Christians?

With 10% of world muslims believing Israel needs destroyed, I don't see how some type of civil war can be avoided. Especially, when the numbers are higher in many Muslim dominated states. Otherwise, all I see is an eventual large war, where someone loses big.

When I posed a similar question someone said Israel "doesn't have to do anything." Well, that is true, but they won't have peace if they do that.

So, its pretty certain there will be war. What do you think? Civil or between counties? Both?

I vote Both!

(Comments please but I don't need a history lesson and yes, I realize 40% of Lebanese support Hezbollah, please move on...)

There has been 330 persons between the 14th & 20th centuries that have the same mysteriously marks on the hands, and feet. Is there any spiritual meaning for this for people who haven't been crucified? OR, are those 330 persons the ones who suffered with Jesus?

The majority of young people these days are more intrested in getting laid or drunk than going to church on sundays, so is religion finally being seen for the fraud that it is?

Let's say we throw away the non-establishment clause of the first ammendment, but keep the freedom to worship. For those Christians who like the ten commandments in front of... which building was it? Whatever. For those that like it there, would you be opposed to an athiest group petitioning for, say, a picture of some philosopher that posistioned that morality is a result of social effeciency, and is not inheritly moral in nature? Maybe somewhere along the line there'd be Nietzche with "God is dead" and "Beyond Good and Evil" inscriptions. Would you oppose that? If so, then obviously the petition would fail, creating a tyranny of the majority. So isn't the non-establishment cause essential to freedom of religion in the first place?

And anyway who wants to flame me, by all means: try and be creative. This question certainly isn't my best written one (I certainly don't represent the athiests well here, being agnostic and all)

If everyone was a child of God just for being born human, then wouldn't that mean that people like serial killers, rapists and child molesters are God's children too? I mean, where do people get their wacky ideas from?

Is there a difference between catholicism and christianity ...? I don't know, it seems that some protestants would like to make a difference between the two..For example, "I am christian, he is catholic !" ...I think that both religions used the tenets of the bible, teach to believe in God and and in Jesus , eventhough there are some theological differences between catholics and protestant but the catholic church is a christian church , and the first christian church in the world at all ...isn't that a silly thing from protestant ...? eventhough from catholics who don't think they already are christian ..!!
can someone help ?

why do people bring "god" into stuff that has nothing to do wih religion, for example, like, when a parent says to there kid, "god, why did you do that, it's bad", when its the kid who has done something wrong, not god.

i mean, i'm not religious in any way, i believe there is something, but i don't believe there is this big god, i believe in, A, heaven and hell, but i think there just alternate versions of the world

i have heard from many people that scientists have proved that there is no God. is this true, because if it is i cant bring myself to believe it. i Love God and no matter what anyone tells me, i will always believe in him no matter what proof they throw in my face, i just wanted to know from some other people.

Which means to put God first in your life, to fill your thoughts with His concerns, to take His character as a model for your own, and to serve and obey Him in everything. What is really important to you? People, objects, goals, and desires all compete for top priority. Any of these can quickly bump God out of first place if you don't actively choose to give Him first place in every area of your life.

Fellow Christians. If you have accepted our Lord Christ,
repay him back for what he did for you. He died in Cross for you being tormented and tortured and humiliated.
Repay him back my brothers. It's better to avoid sex completely. You will burn but you will burn for Jesus Christ--you will burn to pure gold. Repression of sex is like prayer and sacrifice to our Lord. Avoid temptation--not even look at or talk with women, if you are unmarried. If u have sex before marriage then in Gods eyes u are married to that person if a man rapes a woman in Gods eyes they are married.
Also, follow some dress codes.Men should stick to blue and women should stick to pink. We dress babies in the right colors so why can't we do the same as adults? It is a sin to wear clothes that belongs to the opposite sex and women are particularly bad at violating this rule. Men don't wear dresses (apart from a few sickos) so why should females wear pants? It's a sin! Most women today are transvestites and abominations.

So please dress like a man if you are a man and dress like a woman if you are woman and stop flaunting your satanic lifestyle and defiance of God.

I have wondered about this for years. How can insulting the Holy spirit be an unforgivable sin? I mean, Jesus said that if you blasphemy him or his father then it can be forgiven. but somehow blaspheming the HS crosses the line?

So a christian who lived his/her whole life loving god and doing good, then out of anger, blasphemys the HS is doomed to hell? but hitler, who killed millions, could've repented and turned to heaven if he didn't blasphemy it? what!!!

please answer.

And the humanist non-believer who devoted his/her life to feeding the poor goes to Hell, doesn't that indicate the Christian God is anything but good and just? Wouldn't that make "God" one hellaciously evil entity?

In 1954, Congress made it official that the only God recognized by the US is currency. And, ordered the inscription, "In God We Trust" engraved on him to signify his deity.

At the same time, included the words "under God" in the pledge to solidly establish his supremacy.

How do Christians get around the prohibiiton against worshiping other Gods and graven (engraved) images? Do you not use US currency?

I truly believe that these crimes against children pierce our Saviors heart. Who among us can argue different? Do you not feel that a society is judged by how it treats its weakest members and are children not our weakest? We have some serious accounting to do one day. Even if you are not a believer I hope you can agree that THIS ought to carry one of the harshest legal punishments.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

Why is it that some Christians will call Athiests sinners who are going to hell. Some Athiests will call Christians ignorant? And so on and so forth. What are we accomplishing?

I'm a Christian, I have Athiest friends, Christian friends, and Agnostic friends. We get along just fine and respect eachother's beliefs.

In the words of John Lennon, Give peace a chance.
