I am agnostic, and I can tell you that science has not proven this fact. No one can prove anything does not exist. No one on this planet has the ability to do that. I could say Superman exist, you could not prove this statement to be wrong, for all we know he could be out there somewhere in the great big universe somewhere. We do not have to ability to search every corner of the universe looking for him. If you want to believe in God go ahead, it's a free country. This belief may be for you, it's simply not for everyone. If a Divine intelligence does exist, no one is capable of comprehending it, no Christian, no Muslim, no Jew, not anyone. It is not possible, that is why the Bible sounds so absurd. The Bible is simply the result of what happens when human minds with no formal education as years to ponder the Universe, they are left with a lot of holes that need to be filled with the imagination.

not true

This is an extract from Dr. Gronier, a French MP, who embraced Islam. Revealing the reason of embracing Islam he said, I read all of the Ayat (Quranic verses), which have a relation to medical, health, and natural sciences that I studied before and have a wide knowledge of. I found that these verses are totally compatible with and give a picture of our modern sciences. Thus, I embraced Islam as it was obvious that Muhammad revealed the Absolute Truth more than a thousand years ago. Had every specialist, artist or scientist compared those Quranic verses to his own specialization, beyond the shadow of doubt he would embrace Islam, especially if he has a sound mentality and goodwill to search for the truth and not a mentally defective person with the intentions of malevolent aims.

Michael Faraday (1791-1867) was one of the greatest scientists of the 19th century. He discovered the phenomenon of electro-magnetic induction. He was the first to produce an electric current from a magnetic field. He invented the first electric motor and dynamo. The Christian faith was the single most important influence upon him.
The same is true of other pioneering scientists. Robert Boyle gave his name to 'Boyle's Law; Joseph Lister pioneered antiseptic surgery; Louis Pasteur originated pasteurisation; George Mendel helped form the basis for the science of genetics; Lord Kelvin was a leading light in the foundation of modern physics; James Maxwell formulated electro-magnetic theory. All these leading scientists were Christians.

In our own day there are a large number of scientists who are professing Christians. Christians in science has over 700 members and its US counterpart has over 7,000 members. Revd Dr John Polkinghorne, president of Queen's College, Cambridge, who was a professor of mathematical physics before his ordination in 1983 wrote:
Men of religion can learn from science what the physical world is really like in its structure and long-evolving history. This constrains what a religion can say where it speaks of that world as God's creation. He is clearly a patient God who works through process and not by magic. Men of science can receive from religion a deeper understanding than could be obtained from science alone. The physical world's deep mathematical intelligibility (signs of the Mind behind it) and finely tuned fruitfulness (expressive of divine purpose) are reflections of the fact that it is a creation.

There will never be a way to prove god doesn't exist. You can't prove non-existence... However, believers of all religions have yet to come forward with real evidence to prove his existence. As science goes there have been so many things explained that weren't understood before, and the more we learn the less ground religion has to stand on. Religion's main goal is to explain the unexplained... science has been much more successful at that.

As far as I'm concerned there is insufficient evidence for the existence of god, and there is more evidence to support explanations for what is considered by believers to be the effects of god... therefore, god doesn't exist.

The U.S. Patent Office said back in the early 1900's (err, maybe late 1800's) when the light bulb had been patented that there could never be another invention patented, ever.

And who was it said that if something goes up, it must come down? That was a scientist, and umm, he was wrong (of course, he didn't know about the gravity of space, did he)

If you honestly believe that scientists are infallible, then go check some of the "discoveries" made in the name of science in the past. I believe there is even an exhibit in the Smithsonian of stupid science stuff.

Even though science is imperfect, God is not, and throughout the ages that we know of in written word, His Word stands as the truth.

No one proved there is no God. There is more proof for Him then not for Him. Creations delicate design is enough. So do not worry, there is a God . Those who chose not to believe probably just do not want to have to answer to Him whenthey die. Unfortunatly for them, whether you believe or not, you will come face to face with the truth when you die. If you believe in God and his Son Jesus and you die and are wrong then theres no consequence. If you DO NOT believe and YOU are wrong the consequence is Hell. But there is a God and He sent His son Jesus so that we can be in heaven with Him forever. No matter what you believe there is only 1 truth.

That's news to me! No scientist can ever prove the non-existence of God. However, what can be proven by science and logic is the fallacy of all religions.

We can neither prove or disprove God. Scientists are powerless to disprove God. And try as they might, they usually end up convincing themselves of His existance in spite of themselves!

Faith isn't about proof. It takes faith to believe God exists and faith to believe He doesn't. You'd have a hard time convincing me that He doesn't exist because of everything I've experienced. Very personal answers to prayer. Signs that He's shown me when I asked for them, needing personal encouragement.

Don't sweat it, Hon, God is in control!!!

Relax. There's no proof that there's no god.

Then again, there's also no proof that there's no Invisible Pink Unicorn, no Flying Spaghetti Monster, no Thor, no Aphrodite, no Quetzalcoatl, no Vishnu, no leprechauns, no Giggles the Fairy, no Popeye the Sailor-Man, no Santa Claus, no Great Pumpkin, etc etc etc.

I'm thinking eternity is so full of nonexistent beings that there's probably no room for you or me.

The scope of science is to serve man by describing natural laws. Only a raging atheist or naturalist could possibly believe that science can describe the infinite and eternal God.
