The Michelson-Morley experiment was the reason for Albert Einstein!!

Beginning in 1887, U.S. scientist Albert Abraham Michelson began to do experiments to try and detect the motion of the earth around the sun by using the speed of light as a barometer. This experiment was called the Michelson-Morley experiment and was famous for one thing: ALL THE RESULTS WERE NEGATIVE.

"To his utter amazement, the experiment produced a zero effect. Michelson could find no drag on the transmission of light in any direction. He detected only the slightest shift in the interference fringes. Both halves of the split single beam of light were returning at virtually the same instant.
The data were almost unbelievable. The so-called ether wind had had no effect whatever on the velocity of light whether the beam was traveling with the "wind" or across it. There was only one other possible conclusion to draw—that the earth was at rest."

How do you any of you really know what God is? How do you really know that the Christian God isnt the same as every other God in every other religion? How do you know there really is a Heaven or a Hell?
Because The Bible says so? The Bible was written by mortal men thousands of years ago. By the Chruch? Yet again mortal men.
Have any of them been to Heaven? Have you ever been to Heaven? How do you know what He wants for you or anyone else?
How can you really say whats right or wrong? You never know what God wants until you get there. For all you know you cuold have been WAY off and God was messing with you.
How can you say for certain that God is even really there?
I know if comes down to having faith but there is a difference between having simple faith and being a Life on the Rock freak.

BTW Does anyone watch Life on the Rock? Scariest show I have ever watching that pastor guy in the robe is a such a perv...

What about if they, during young adulthood, decide to be one or the other and has the operation to do so? What about if the parents decide during infancy to operate to make it a boy [or girl] but later in life, the child, now as an adult, identifies with the opposite gender and is therefore "homosexual"?

Would god send them to hell for that?

What did it teach you? For me it was the year my mother could not afford a Christmas tree and my oldest sister went and babysat another child and we all walked late at night to buy a tree at the conveniece store. We drug it home and made decorations for it as we could not find them. My mother sat and cried that morning when she came home. She was only in her 20's raising 4 daughters alone and that Christmas at ages 8,10,12,and 13 we learned that the most important gift we could have or give was love. We learned the true meaning of the gift of our Savior.

For me this would be my mother. She has suffered much, made her share of mistakes, but has never lost her faith. Please understand she is not the same denomination as I am, nor is she strictly in any mold of a denomination but she is highly spiritual. She writes poetry and has always encouraged me to choose my path in this world. The only thing she ever asked of me is that I remain Christian. That I could never deny. Who do you feel in your life is the most spiritual and has taught you the most?

(Fact)Christmas is a celebration BECAUSE Jesus was born. Jesus was born in a stable, because the in was full. I think the inn was full because people were celbrating christmas. Why do you think it was full?

Isnt it true that there isnt really any atheist in the world, for they are truelly agnostic.
No one can know that there is no God.

You say you dont believe in what you cant see ? Do you believe in protons ? neutrons ? Have you seen them ? How about quarcs ? How about gamma rays ? How about silicone based sub matter ? Have you seen them ? Do you believe in atoms or molecules ? Can you see them ? Do you believe in black holes ? How about the galaxies on the other side of the black holes ? Have you seen them ? No you havent. Heaven, Hell, The Bible, God, Satan, Eternal Life, Fiery Death, The Blood of Jesus, Good Works, Feverent Prayer, The Full Body Armor of Jesus, Pearly Gates and So on and So Forth? None of this causes me enough belief to be true or false. Because someone tells me it is written in scripture it must be 100% true? It just doesn't do it for me and I am only being truthful! Sorry if I offend anyone but the blood spilt for me on the cross to cleanse me of all my sins by Jesus Christ as written in the bible has no impact in my daily and persoanl life, WHATSOEVER! Making it to heaven (Humans go to absurbly GREAT LENGTHS) to try, sneak, wish, hope, pray and assure themselves that they get in; Get in to what? A place that may not even exsist? When I die this much I know; My life is done and any organs will be donated to an another human being. Other than that I am done and will not be going to heaven or hell or returning to earth as someone or something else. I am fine and content as I end this

I am a non-practicing Roman Catholic. I have always feared dieing, I think in part because I really have no faith. I find it hard to beleive that there is something else after we die.
