The vast majority of Christians in the USA support the actions of Israel in the occupied regions of Palestine and Lebanon. There is a sizeable population of Christians amongst the occupied Palestinians and a large community of Marronite Christians in Lebanon. Many of these Christians have been murdered by the illegal warfare of Israel. As Jews (most Israelis are Jews) were responisble for the execution of the alleged demigod that Christians worship, whom they call Jesus ( & whom jews regard as a "heretic sorcerer") why do Christians support the people responsible for the mass murder of their co-religionists, Isn't, 'Though shalt not Kill' one of the ten commandments Christians are supposed to uphold? America threatens warfare against Iran & N Korea for alledgedly developing nuclear weapons, yet ignores Israels 200 nuclear weapons which are undeniably a threat to world peace. The American bias towards Israel provokes retaliation from Islamic terrorists making us all targets for terror.

No matter who you are, as long as you love God, you'll deserve to go to Heaven? Do bad people go to Hell even if they love God? Wouldn't it be useless to repent since all the damage has already been done?

I have been depressed for 8yrs+ but just in the recent past years have been diagnosed as being clinically depressed. I take two different types of anti-depressants. but that doesn't seem to help.. I have a 16yr old son and I hate that he always sees mama sad...I don't want him to have anomosity once he is grown. I am 36yrs old do you think its possible for me to get it together and get over past pains and move forward... I keep thinking about my past, my childhood, the verbal abuse and sometimes physical.. my low self-esteem stemmed from that I believe..I don't know anymore what to do.. I keep praying and believing that one day I will be delivered from this demon called depression .. so I am asking you all to pray with me and for my deliverance..thank you so much.. God bless you and yours.

I would like some more devotional prayers to pray. I already pray the Rosary and I have prayed the Divine Chaplet of Mercy a couple times. Is there anymore Catholic devotionals you could teach me. If not that's ok tell me what devotions you do. thanks.

How can we feel pain in hell when pain is an attribute of our physical bodies. It just doesn't make sense.

I would like to know your religion/beliefs and your idea on what Enlightenment is and how to reach it. If anyone as the same ideas at me, I`m hoping they can help me reach this Enlightenment, so please leave and email address if you haven`t enetered your email to yahoo answers. Also, I want to know about Zen Masters. What they are, how they reach that point, what religion belief system or culture they are from.. Also I would like to know about they priests/priestess or anything else they are called in your religion. A lot about them if you can. Christians, please DO NOT take it personally, but this is a learning project, and I was taught a lot about your religion, so I don`t really need those answers. Feel free to give them, but I`m not going to email you back and you probably won`t get best answer. I want to learn about other religions, so please give me as many discriptions as possible.

Religion was supposed to bring harmony but what we see is chaos. Every religion advocating its superiority. Why should we have such a thing that brings only disruption in our lives. Why temple ,church, mosque. Why make it communal? If one needs religion why it should not be personal to him, with no name tag. Is it not time we have a fresh look at something that goes by the name of religion and failed to achieve what it was supposed to achieve--- love ,peace, brotherhood.

ok it was hard for me to decide whether to post this here or in the math section but i noticed something interesting and wondered whether it has any deeper meaning.
In math a perfect number is a number whose factors add up the number: 6 is the first perfect number 1+2+3=6, 1*2*3=6. the next is 28.
The fibonacci sequence is a sequence that starts with two 1's and the next number is obtained by adding the last two numbers:
1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55...
Now a sequence that starts with the first 2 perfect numbers 6,28 includes an interesting number:
6 28 34 62 96 158 254 412 666.....
The reason i posted this here is for the 666 which is supposed to be the devils number yet according to the bible god created the world in 6 days. opinions please?

Jesus is in charge of the Strong Nuclear Force that holds protons together within the nucleus of atoms - (Colossians 1:17).

Thus, when the time comes, Jesus is simply going to relax His hold on the elements (of the Periodic Table), and the protons are going to fly apart - (2 Peter 3:10,12).

I have been battling with a tought decision for weeks now.
I just started working for this company a few weeks ago, but a new opportunity that I was waiting for months pops up.
In my heart I should stay faithful to my current job, but I know that this new opportunity will benefit my career. If God wanted me to accept this new job, wouldn't it have come first and I wouldn't have accepted this current position?
I have prayed about this, but I still can't come to a conclusion.
I have declined the new job once, but they already bougth the plane ticket for me to meet them for an interview. I took it as a sign and met with them. I would like to work for them, but I feel really bad in leaving my current position.
I seem to be getting mixed signals. When I declined the offer, I felt really bad and thought I made a really bad mistake, but now the offer is back and I still can't make up my mind.

I want to make sure I am doing Gods will, not just following some foolish dream.

Mark 14.32 -14.42. during the course of these verses it is indicated that Jesus went off alone to pray while his diciples took a nap, several naps. this being the case who was witness to Jesus' private conversation with his Father in order that Jesus' prayers could be reported in the gospels?

What was the original language, and what are possible mistranslations that came about? List as many possible interpretations (not JUST yours) as possible. I'm curious to see what people come up with. Meek is a sort of umbrela term isn't it...

It seems today everyone has an interpretation of the bible. I have been reading the bible recently and I see how people can make these different interpretations, especially with the parables.

My question is there one true interpretation of the bible? if so why was the bible written in such a way which allows for interpretation?

If you don't believe there is one true interpretation of the bible, why would Jesus come down and be killed if he didn't want to send a clear message to us? If he came to save us, why leave it up to interpretation?
