Owes me something?? Where did that come from?? I think that works count, but never did I think that God owed me anything. I think it's all in the way you view it. I think the belief that going to Heaven for just a belief absolves one of his/her responsibility to be a good person. But again, it's all how you view it. I think that what ever helps each of us to be a good person is God sent and should be accepted and respected by all.
It's not so much the works themselves that count as much as the heart and intention behind them. God knows each of us better than we know ourselves. I think that believing that our intentions matter keeps us on our toes to help make this world a better place...and that believing that God is forgiving and merciful gives us comfort.
As for Hell, I don't think that it is eternal. I believe in a temporary punishment (if God sees that it is necessary). We mere humans cannot sin enough to warrant an eternal punishment from God, the greatest of beings.
By the way, calling God's children silly and talking down to them isn't very nice. Then again, you don't think that your works count so you can do or say what ever you want knowing that you will go to Heaven. Is that how it works?? I will assume that your intentions are good and that you are not judgmental or arrogant.
God Bless!

Yes, I do believe he'll "let me in". It's his heaven and not yours either. I believe in God, but he created me although I didn't ask to be born, when or where to be born, I didn't ask for this sinful nature you say I was born with. Eternity is a long time for 70 or 80 years of sin, don't you think? Talk about a "hanging judge". But if it's true what you say, it sure would have been nice if his wonderful followers could have been just a bit nicer to people and presented a bit more believable witness for him, instead of millennia of war, murder, and oppression in his name. It would have been nice too if his "holy word", with its outlandish claims claims taken as science had made been a bit more believable to a person with a trace of intelligence and reasoning, which he also gave me. If he didn't want me to have a mind and think for myself, why did he give me one? If he wanted me to believe in him the way you do, why did he create such a ridiculous universe? (your version of it, that is.) If you feel so incompetant and unworthy of God that you need the ancient moral codes written by and for primitive and superstitious Bronze Age men, go right ahead and believe whatever you want. Personally, I prefer to think and reason like a citizen of the 21st century A.D., not the 21st century B.C.

You're assuming there is a heaven and God. If there is, even Jesus preached of walking the walk. Christian salvation is a combination of rebirth and unconditional forgiveness and an attempt of giving back by being Christ-like.
Check out: Mathew 7:21-23

How do you know God is a he? And further more how do you know that Heaven, or Hell for that matter, is eternal?
God gave us freewill which means there will be many falls and many ascensions. I suggest you get use to the idea as one of the ways to alleviate suffering in through acceptance.

Nope, God doesn't owe me a thing. But I do believe in his inspired word-the bible. Last time I checked 144,000 were to enter the heavenly kingdom, while the meek themselves would possess the earth

Actually God is our Judge. He says what goes and who will be in heaven ruling with him. All we can do is hope for a good standing before God when the time comes.. The book of revelation explains fully who goes and who lives on a cleansed earth.

I don't know why people think that... it is good to know that it is not up to the works that we have done..... We are all bad and do thing that are not right. So when we stand before God we will be found 100% guilty of sin yes even Christians!*&^%&^$%*%^
But thank good that he sint his son Jesus to save us from going to hell!

If I had to spend eternity in Heaven with a gaggle of undeservedly pious dimwits like yourself, you'd no doubt hear me begging for Hell in the first five minutes.
Hope this helps :)

We are justified by His grace through our own faith. Without faith in The Lord you will not gain entry. It has nothing to do with your works on this earth.

and i take it you know you are not getting into heaven with questions and comments as the ones you have posted because that goes against your christian virtues and with out those you are not living the way the Lord intended to so that you could get into his kingdom
