I went to a psychic and she was oddly specific about my obsession with the german culture... I listen to a lot of german music, I idolize Hitler in his speaking techniques and rhetoric skills, etc. As a joke I did what she said to find out for sure and for the past three weeks I have been having dreams about Hitler being nice to me and giving me chocolates.

This has scared me and I have seen religious and spiritual advisors who tell me that IF I am Hitler, then I am sent here to fix what he messed up and help humankind, as with other divine sanctioned reincarnations and angels and whatnot...

What the heck is going on... I think I am going crazy.

Ok, if you guys think an afterlife is real, how come we have no memory of anything before birth? I don't mean to choke you up, just wandering if there's an explanation to this one, too?

If I was to write a book and publish it next week, the money from that book would go to me and the publishing company etc.... But bibles are sold everyday.... who gets that money? Supposedly "God" and Jesus are dead...... is that why churches can literarlly run towns because I think they get the "bible" money!

I have been rather free with bashing Abrahamic religions. To be fair, one must acknowledge the humanity of at least some of its followers. Kiss a catholic for their contributions to schools and hospitals; many christians for their charity-work; some muslims for the green crescent (aka muslim red cross); jews for the charity work done by their synagogues. But such charity and seeming altruism is really selfishly done to reserve their places in their vision of the afterlife, and does not discount the misery that their dogma imposes on the rest of the world. Isn't it far better to be an altruist, rather than do "good" because you are dogma-driven?

It seems, especially in this country, that our feelings get in the way of our minds. That if something doesn't "feel" right, then it isn't right. Case in point, how the U.S. is second to last in accepting Evolution and understanding genetics. For most, the thought of all life coming from a single instance and humans coming from apes doesn't "feel" right. But what DOES feel right, is this need to feel special about ourselves. That the creator of the entire Universe created human beings that look just like him. Think about it. We all have the ability to use our minds for reason and logic. It's time we started to do just that.

Ok, so athiests belong to a catagory in which they are NOT, rather that what they are. They are NOT Thiests. meaning they do not believe in a God or higher power... I'm a self-pronounced cured athiest by way of a near-death/post death experience... I am in a group of about 8 million people. I was dead for over 4 minutes and like many many other Athiests, after my experience I have absolutely no doubt in a higher power...

My question is, why does it take death for Athiests to start believing and why if that was my choice is the bible telling me that had I not died and experienced what I did, I would be going to hell? I'm here to tell each and every person, THERE IS AN AFTERLIFE! Personally, I don't believe in Hell. If anyone was going it would have been me. However, why aren't 8 million accounts of NDE's enough to convince Athiests otherwise?

-will it take dying for you to believe in an afterlife/higher power?

-Why does the bible preach about hell for wrong deeds?

What happened to all the people who lived before Jesus? Did no one (Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Sarah, etc.) go to heaven?

Hello!

I am researching Mormonism, and I have 6 questions....Looking for members of the LDS church.

I am not trying to attack anyone, I am trying to be as objective as possible, and a book of Mormon is in the mail. However, I am a christian.

It won't let me post all the questions with the references here(too long)...So I posted them online at www.allaboutjoshua.com or http://joshuafkon.googlepages.com/questions

Thank you very much for your help,

God bless,

Josh

Please dont give just a one word answer's to this question as i find that some people need to know the truth and explination of it, as it's not as it's been made out to be. ie (scary, evil, connected to devil worshiper's).

And ask for his forgiveness with sencerity I get to go to Heaven?

That's a square deal indeed. Sign me up.

And to think I've spent the last 32 years trying to be a good person. What a waste of time that was.

In the book of Matthew, ch.3, Christ tells John the Baptist that He needs to be baptized to "fulfill all righteousness". So...what's He talking about? And furthermore, why did Christ need to be baptized if He was perfect? And why do little children need to be baptized? They don't know any better. Would God condemn a 2-yr old just because he/she hadn't been baptized?

RELIGIOUS FAITH - It's all about a security blanket that offers humans peace and solice when bad things happen; a cructch if you will. Grasping to something that we are led to beileve is so much bigger and more powerful than we are, but also helping humans along in a selfish way? Many people use faith (belief in Jesus) to cover up all their shortcomings and to present a mirage of something that is far greater in their life than just living on earth, as if that is just not enough. I believe in the here and now, good and bad, right and wrong. It is cool if you beliefs and definition of faith differ from mine because I am humble and know that I am no better than anyone else on this earth. WHY DO YOU BELIEVE IN FAITH?
