What happened to all the people who lived before Jesus? Did no one (Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Sarah, etc.) go to heaven?

This idea is a misinterpretation of scripture. Jesus never intended for us to accept him to get to heaven. He wanted us to accept his teachings and his example.

Anyone who ever did this was just fine.

wait. why do these so called christians not reconize that jesus said this;(John 3:13) 13 Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man.

man was not created for heaven thats why throughout the bible
we are promised the earth.and people before and after Jesus will be resurected to the earth.
(Isaiah 11:9) 9 They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.

(Isaiah 25:8) 8 He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].

There are to many to show.(Psalm 37:11) 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,. . .

(Psalm 37:29) 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

Here I am creating new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart.”—Isaiah 65:13, 17; also 2 Peter 3:13.

(Proverbs 2:21-22) 21 For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. 22 As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.

(Ecclesiastes 1:4) 4 A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite.

No one who died before Jesus' ransom sacrifice goes to heaven. They will be resurrected back to life on a restored paradise earth. In fact, only 144,000 chosen go to heaven to serve as priest and associate kings with Christ Jesus. Ones such as Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Noah and some others will serve as princes in the earth.

Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." Jesus is the I AM of the old testament. I AM the LORD thy God one LORD. This is God, the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

Read about Faith in Hebrews 11. All these went to Heaven, plus all who believed (trust & obey) in the LORD God. At Christ resurrection, those in Abrahams bosom went to Heaven.

Now, those who are born of God, saved by grace go to heaven. And take part in the first resurrection. Their names are written in the Lamb's book of Life. And the second death has no power over them.

Others go to where the dead of the sea go, or the dead where the dead go, or the dead in hell go. These are those of the second resurrection & Great White Throne Judgement, where people are judged according to their works. I believe judged according to conscience & laws of the land & observance of God's earth. Everyone whose names aren't in the Books of Life are thrown into the Lake of Fire. That is the second death.

That whole story is found in the Old Testament. It's LONG. But I'll give you a thumbnail sketch. That particular group you mentioned had a High Priest and a beautiful temple. The temple had three courts, the outer court, middle court and inner court. In the inner court was the ark of the covenant. Long story about this. God spoke thru this. ( If you touched it you fell over dead.) The high priest had little bells sewn all around the hem of his robe. Hebrews 4:14 "Every high priest is selected from among men and is appointed to represent them in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sin, for himself as well as for the people." When he'd return from the inner court the bells would tinkle and when the people heard the bells they rejoiced because that meant their sins were forgiven! (He'd of been dead otherwise!!!)

So they say.....

These people are in special place waiting for the Rapture.

It is my assumption, that these people beyond the shadow of doubt loved God and since Jesus is the Son, they would love Him too. They were alot less opinionated than we are, so they pretty much did what they were told, period.

There is a name for the place where they are in the Bible, I do believe. I could be wrong but I would look around in the Bible where it speaks of the Rapture.

Yes, those people did go. Only Jews who had faith in God and actively kept the Jewish law went to heaven. Even then, no one could keep the law perfectly, and it was very difficult. Thank God for Jesus!

Atonement and sacrifices, usually made once a year. Could only be done by a high priest. You could not, under any circumstances go directly to God.

You lived by the law, and you died by the law, and eternal death to you if you died before atoning and sacrificing for your sin of breaking the Law of Moses, handed to him by Gods own being.

Those before Jesus, who believed in God and were faithful, go to Heaven.

The Bible talks about the Jews as the Chosen People.
Also, don't forget Elijah who went straight to heaven in the Garden.

In times past, God winked at, but now all are accountable because of the sacrifice that was made for man in Christ Jesus. Previously, animal sacrifices "covered over" the sins of man, but weren't a true atonement. For the wages of sin are death, and a death is required to cover/ atone for sinfulness
