my house is haunted because someone died in my house before we moved into it. For those of you who don't believe me, email me and try to explain what else could this be.

Energy from past lives, past events, past experiences gets left in a place. Over time, that energy builds up. The more energy, the more you can feel it. The more potent the event, the more energy gets left.

I lived in a haunted house as a kid. It felt so different from other peoples' houses and when we moved into a brand new house, it felt so empty. That house had seen a lot of people and a lot of events. I think of it like a picture. If someone moves during a picture, it leaves that streak of their motion. The energy is kinda like that streak. A little bit, or maybe a lot gets left behind and that is the energy you feel in a "haunted" house.

Bad hauntings come from bad people or events that were in the house. It's just like when you can just feel that another person is not a good person. You can feel that in the energy a bad person or event has left behind.

At least, that's what I think about it.

Houses get 'haunted' because demons get a kick out of all the silly humans running around screaming about ghosts!

Seriously, there is no such thing as a haunted house, but if you really want to research paranmormal stuff like that, I would suggest "An Encyclopedia of Ghosts and Spirits" by rosemary ellen guiley. It'll tell you what you need to know.
