Not Wiccans, neo-pagans, or eclectics (never will I forget the day that someone referred to Isis as the "triple moon goddess"...lets keep our pantheons straight, please???????), or Kemetic enthusiasts. I'm not trying to sound exclusive, but I'm having a hard time finding other Isian pagans, and I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one left! If you're out there, let's trade rituals, books, recipes, and any other ideas. I'd love to hear from you. If you exist, hehe.

I am not interested in converting, but I would like to know if what I believe about it is correct. I never heard of Wiccan until I watched that show "Wife Swap" and their was a Wiccan family. They made it out like they worshipped the mom because they believed that she was a reincarnated priestess or something like that. They even kept one daughter home, to school her in the beliefs of Wiccan. The dad said that they had a dragon living on their roof? And said that they talked to faries. Is this an accurate portrayal of the Wiccan people. If not what is it all about and is it true when people say that it is devil or demon worship?

Really what I am trying to ask is has anyone ever had an experience where after the death of a loved one something happen-something that made you go, "They are still around and trying to tell me they are ok." Just wondering because I heard that only demons can come around-and that spirits will not be raised again to Jesus comes back. Something along those lines. However it is a bit funny cause I had an experience where I could of sworn that my uncle was trying to tell me he was there and he loved me. Actually I know of a few people that have had those kind of experiences.

Would this be acceptable to my fellow Christians?
NOTE: Our forefathers had a statue of Moses carved on the Library of Congress, but he is standing so we can only see Commandments 6-10.

In 1954, Congress declared money to be the official US God. Pursuant to that declaration, ordered "In God We Trust" engraved on money to signify its deity, and ordered the pledge of allegiance be altered to include the words, "under God."

Which means that people who recite the pledge are swearing allegiance to money, the official US God.

Isn't that a violation of at least two of the ten commandments?

(worshiping other Gods, worshiping graven images)

If not, why not?

Thanks.

man, I swear those bastards are going to find some loophole and start outlawing church services that teach that homosexuality is wrong, and everything else that goes against the "legal" church sermon.

I can't wait till they do that becuz God is REALLY going to make them pay. Finally, the apocalypse is here.

Liberals and Feminist Devils are distorting our society and norms. They are making women crazy whores. They are introducing strange laws and ideas contrary to our Holy Scriptures. How come a husband rapes his wife?
God tells men to love their wives as their own bodies, so a Christian man would not want to hurt his wife.
However, a husband can not rape his wife. She permanently gave her body to him at the marriage altar. If she witholds sex from her hubby then she is disobeying God and depriving him, and he has every right to have sex with HIS wife. Just as she has every right to have sex with her hubby. The Bible says that once you get married, your bodies belong to your spouse. I hate it when people say stuff about men raping their wives. It is not rape if you use something that was permanently given to you.

only please. I'm trying to help a friend (which could help me too) -- he is searching for a way to find God and knows he has sinned in the past and afraid he may in the future. He also has other issues which are not his fault (bipolar). Can you please tell me (and where in the Bible it is stated) where God/Jesus does not expect man to be perfect? Somehow. I mean...he's a really great, nice, generous person. I need some help to help him.

when that is simply not true? I have explained to at least a couple members of these groups that Catholics ask Mary and the other saints (Mary is just a saint, nothing more) to pray to God for us as we pray for ourselves. It is no different than asking your next door neighbor to pray for you as you pray for yourself. Why is that so hard to understand? We also DO read the bible, though we don't memorize it.

In my opinion, christianity has been the most evil of all religions. Dark ages and the financing by the catholic church to conquer the americas comes to mind.

Jews are wimps. They always let themselves get picked on and require a protector to protect them (ie US in this day an age).

Even when the moor empire conquered spain, they didn't kill those that didn't convert. They simply taxed infidels more than non-infidels. Them bringing town the WTC towers doesn't even compare to the slaughter under christianity's belt.

G.K. Chesterton once said: "It is idle to talk always of the alternative of reason and faith. Reason is itself a matter of faith. It is an act of faith to assert that our thoughts have any relation to reality at all." In the early church, "faith" was not a blind leap into the absurd. The Apostle Paul used the testimonies of those who witnessed Jesus after resurrection (he even vaguely encouraged his contemporaries to search them out), the fulfilled prophecies from the Old Testament, and miracles of his own to persuade others to become Christians. Faith was understood as a reasonable trust or belief in something based on appropriate evidence. What do you believe about the relationship between faith and reason?

I am a god parent to four children - my two nieces whom are being raised Presbyterian, my best friend's son whom is being raised Congregationalist and another good friends daughter who is being raised Roman Catholic. Of the four, if something should ever happen to my brother & sister in law I would be raising his children. Now, my being atheist isn't a problem for my brother because he knows that I would always honor his wishes in what belief system he wanted his children raised in because I love and respect him.

What are your thoughts and opinions on this?

Also, why do they try to prevent them for fleeing their home (people have been wounded) or when setting up launchers to fire Katyusha rockets from house roof tops wont listen to pleas to stop.

Hesbollah doesn't pay any taxes in Lebanon. The Christians pay the taxes for basic government services.

90% of Christians, 80% of Sunni and 40% of Shiites in Lebanon oppose Hezbollah.
