Although many people are going to disagree you are absolutely right. This topic was discussed at my Sunday School teachers meeting. Truth of the matter is that our society's norms are slowly but surely being distorted. That is part of the reason our country is in the shape it is in. However, I must add that I don't believe in a man being violent towards wife. That's called assault. Peace and God bless.

Wow! Doesn't the Bible say "judge not so ye be not judged"? Wow!
If you are referring to I Corinthians 7: 1-4, then you should read further. Because this is NOT a commandment! It was advice (v6) that was given to the people of Corinth to save them from committing adultery (v5). This was NOT a commandment from God! And yes, we are under God's law and Jesus' grace, but the Bible lets us know that we have to obey the laws that man made as well. It's called OBEDIENCE! So if the law says that it's rape if she says no, then its rape. I am a Christian, not a liberal, not a feminist. I just believe what the good Book says.

First, I am not a liberal and I am not a feminist.
"..if you use something.." You use the word use -does that describe a loving relationship.
Yes, a husband can be accused of rape if he forces intercourse on his wife. It is an act of violence. Do you also believe that a husband would not be committing murder if he killed the wife that God gave him.
If a man forces himself on a woman, she is able to get a divorce and it will be a biblical reason. Abandonment. When a man abandons his responsilbity and duty to love his wife as Christ loved the church, he has abandoned the marriage and she can divorce him.
Yeah, that's my wacky Lutheran Pastor's wife take on it!

Look mister pink and blue if a lady says no she has a right. A woman should satisfy her husband and wants to unless he turns out to be some disgusting pig. But if hes dirty and been whiny all day and she doesnt feel good, no should work. If not then Hell No had better because guess what , a husband can be tried for forcing himself on his wife. And found guilty.

Get stuffed. This question is not even worth answering. You should go far in life, and the sooner the better. Try Afghanistan. People like you helped make it the shining model of humanity it is today.
Oh yeah one more thing, you miserable slime. Contrary to your narrow misogynist (yeah I used a big word) views, RAPE has nothing to do with SEX. It has everything to do with control and domination. I know a 60 year old woman who was raped by a 16 year kid while walking to work. I'm sure he just couldn't help himself huh and she "made him do it"?

Are you kidding me? It is considered rape if someone does not want to have sex. Period. It doesn't matter who the rapist is. If one DOES NOT WANT to have sex and is forced to do so by someone else, IT IS RAPE! A husband is also supposed to respect his wife. Forcing her to have sex against her will is not respecting her is it?
Rape is not about sex, its about control. Any man who rapes his wife does so not because he wants sex from her, he does so because he wants to control her.
I hope you aren't married. You belong in prison if you think rape is ok. And when you go to prison, (which you will), and a guy makes you his b**** you will finally get to experience rape firsthand. But you cant call it rape because he'll have every right to have sex with HIS b****.

forcing sex in not loving their wives. And if s christian man wold not hurt his wife then he would not force himself on her. Sex is very intimate and sensitive to women and I think that women can say no, they have their reasons and the husband should respect that. I do believe that sometimes Liberals go and feminists do go too far but with this I have to disagree.

Look, if a wife says no to sex and the husband forces it on her, then yes that is considered rape, just as it is if a single woman says no and a man still forces her to have sex. Women have every right to say no to sex. Its their body, their choice.

No, you're wrong. If a man takes his wife against her will, that is rape and abuse. It is not legitimate use of what is "his." I do agree that the two become one, and she should not "hold out" on him, but if a man goes that far, that is indeed rape and there are major problems in that marriage.
I think this is a terrible argument. As a Christian, do we not have a higher calling than to try to justify heinous sins?
Frankly, I'm appalled.

There is no power that can EVER begin to justify rape. Nowhere does it say in the Bible that a man can forcibly take a woman against her will in an act of cruelty.
It is immoral, cruel, evil and God does not agree with you. Seek help, please.

I think you dont know what your talking about. Because my wife may not be in the mood when i am and vice versa, to force her to something she does not want to do goes against any freedom of choice that she may have, and isnt that the purpose of life, to learn from mistakes, because of choices we made. I hope whom ever you marry, God willing, and perhaps even a haircut, will smack you upside the head,
