Are your beliefs in total harmony with those of your childhood family? Or are your beliefs a variation on the childhood theme (for example, you may have become Baptist after growing up Episcopalian)? Or alternatively, are your beliefs better described as an entirely different song of faith or non-faith, one that no one in your family would recognize or understand?

I have no doubt that 90% of the replies will be the usual "Islam is a religion of peace" party line that everyone feels the need to spout off. It's not the people who think it's a peaceful religion that I'm worried about. It's the people who fly airliners into buildings, strap on suicide vests, murder children in schools in Beslan, and blow up people on trains. Also, before you start the anti-Christian/Jew mumbo jumbo, please know that I am an atheist. I'm not advocating a religion. It does, however, seem to me that while not all Muslims are terrorists, almost all terrorists are Muslim. I can see it now, ignoring my question and mentioning anomalies like Tim McVeigh or Hitler. I don't think those people were right either, but they are not the topic at hand. I'm particularly excited to read responses of the people who deny Islamic Extremism's existence. Should we stifle discussion before it starts? Can we please have a little intellectual honesty on this subject?

The Christians who celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7th. instead of Dec. 25th. Back home we used to call them 7UP Christians!
Do you know much about them, and why they observe Christmas on Jan. 7th.

It always annoys me, whether in religion or politics, from athiests and Christians to left and right winged leaders; the usage of buzzwords.
"I'm saved!" "Imaginary"
"Dick Cheney is a Nazi!"

Right. While I'm sure there are firm logical supports for these premises (or not, depending on the situation), people still use the terms and phrases they do due to their blatent emotional context, rather than the actual logical connotation the terms are supposed to have. Am I the only one that thinks that people should have some kind of ethical responsibility to not intentionally use terminology that is inheritly misleading due to connotative meaning?

Sorry for the rant, it's just a pet peave of mine.

I would like to know one thing, SHORT ANSWER.

ON WHAT AUTHORITY DID MOHAMMED REFUTE THE DEITY OF JESUS OF NAZARETH?

"Truth Seeker" and "ReadKoran" gave me some whopping loooooong answers last time I asked this, but neither of them ANSWERED THE QUESTION, therefore the entire question was deleted. There WAS no best answer!

I don't want to know about research done over the past 1500 years, or word studies between Aramaic, Greek, Latin, and English, or 100 comparative verses in the Bible and Koran. I don't want to know how YOU came to YOUR conclusion.

I want to know about Mohammed.

On what authority did he decide Jesus was not the Saviour of the whole world, the atoning sacrifice for our sins, the Son of Almighty God. Did Mohammed:
Study the Bible, and find it inconsistant?
Find the physical body of Jesus Christ?
Discover artifacts or documents refuting the commonly accepted Bible?
Recieve Spiritual revelation?
Hear it from a bird?

HOW DID MOHAMMED DECIDE???

If you are of any other religion and are qualified to answer then o.k. Have your completely read "The White Goddess: A historical grammar of poetic myth? " By Robert Graves. If you have and have the book still what do you think about the section about the ten commandments? What do you think the Christians would say about it?

What if God, Satan, Heaven and Hell Really do exist? I feel comfortable knowing the good works and the good person in my heart that I am will gain me access if Heaven really does exist. If not, sorry many of you spent your whole life copying, mimicking, changing and fooling yourselves into mainsteam societies biggest scam.

Maybe if there was ONLY One way, One Faith that granted us Heaven I would be a little more interested in all this realistic nonesense.

Mormons are right
Christians are right
Jewish is right
Islam is right
Methodists are right
Hinduismn is right

C'MON PEOPLE WAKE UP! Many if not all of you ARE WRONG for following and professing any one religion as the only and true way to heaven.
