As cliche' as it sounds, you just know.
I think the more you know your own heart and mind, the easier it is to distinguish between what you know to be true and what you hope to be true. You learn the difference between your "gut feeling" and your desire.
Jim and I knew before we ever dated. We met at church, we prayed about it separately. Many in our congregation (unbeknownst to us) were praying for us. He decided before our first date that he was going to ask me to marry him. That's one reason it took him so long to get around to it, I guess. He wanted to be sure.
You learn a lot about a person by the way he/she interacts with others. We were in church together and socializing with the same people for about a year before he ever asked me out.
No matter what we have faced in our 11 years of marriage, we know we were meant for each other.
I believe in God, and I believe that it's more important to trust Him than it is to trust in your own ability to make the perfect decision.
No matter how well you think you know a person, people change. I knew that Jim had a deep commitment to God. I know that his relationship with God makes him a better husband. I know that my relationship with God makes me a better wife.
As long as we both hold on to Him, He will keep us growing closer together.
God bless you in your search. :o)

Depends how many times you've been married before. Is this future wife.....your 8th future wife, or your first? If it's your first future wife.....then you will know her when you have the deep down knowing that you are truly deeply "in love" with her. If it's your 8th future wife.....you will just have to take another chance and hope one day you learn from your mistakes.

The best way is by your heart. If you feel it in your heart it is right. You will absolutely know when you find the right one. Still, nothing in life comes with a guarantee, so you cannot second guess every question that starts with "what if." If you commit your heart, you must give it to her 100% without questioning your decisionto marry her. Follow your heart and you will know when the right one comes along.

You might kinda have a misguided view on God's will. There is no were in the Bible where we are told that his will is about choosing the right wife, job, place to live.... etc...
God's soverign will ( something we can't change) controls those things. We are asked to become good people who make wise decisions.

I'm all for listening to your heart, but make sure your heart and your mind are in agreement. You can feel very warm and fuzzy about someone and your mind can be flashing some red lights - stop for them. At the very least - slow down.

You can never know for sure. Speaking as a married man, Believe me after several years they can seem like a whole different person than the one you fell in love with.

There is no "one." God has given you a heart, His Word, and a brain. If you are both of one mind, committed to Jesus Christ, committed to a permanent marriage, to working through the hard times, of one mind concerning children, concerning lifestyle and goals and career choices, then pray and ask her.

I think we can connect on a very deep level with many people throughout our lives. If you connect, then you can share a life together. Maybe it won't last forever, but it may still be a wonderful experience.

You won't know it until you find yourself waiting for her to show up in the chapel.
