My maternal grandmother, she was the one that got me started with Christianity. She was the best, I never heard her get angry, when people did things to here she got on her knees and prayed for them, and read her Bible for guidance. The best I have ever seen.

My friend Sharonn. She is a United Methodist minister and has been most of her life. I met her when I was 5 years old attending my old church. She and her husband were both serving there at the time. We had an instant connection. We have stayed in touch since that time. She is more of a mother figure in my life and I am forever grateful for what she and her husband has done in my life. I recently lived with them for about 6 months due to some things that were happening in my life. So the fact that they opened up their home and their hearts to me will never be forgotten. They certainly are angels walking here on the earth.

My preacher's wife is the perfect picture of "peaceful serenity". She has survived terminal cancer, lived through an automobile crash that should have killed her, and has birthed two children after being told the chemo would leave her barren. (And she's not even 40 yet.) But this woman always has a sweet smile or encouraging word for anyone around her. I can only wish to obtain the amount of faith in God that she has.

There is a lady at my parish who is so unattractive that you might dismiss her. She is older, and hard of hearing. Many people don't even know she exists. Yet she makes me smile every time I see her. She is the biggest servant I have ever seen. She meets peoples needs before they can ask. If there is someone who is sick I have heard that she is the first one there to clean their house or bring them communion. She volunteer's for every low key committee or service group the parish has.
She is my hero and I want to learn from her how to be a better servant.

My mother. She is Catholic and is in her late 70's. She is so devoted to her religion that she practically lives in the church. I don't even have the courage to tell her that I am no longer a Catholic as it may devastate her.

My father but he has been dead for 3 years. So now it is my mother. As for going to church - One does not have to go to church to go to Heaven. It does help to have the fellowship of a church .
