No, I don't think that it's lame.

Even though I'm pretty much athiest, I don't think it's lame that you play while you learn about God. Things like that should be fun and it keeps you interested. As long as you're learning, playing during a Bible study is perfectly fine.

I think it's lame that you would expect a person who doesn't speak English to enjoy a Bible study, even if you are translating. Can you imagine if you went to a Bible study where a person who doesn't speak English fluently is attempting to discuss Bible passages?

No, I think it's great that you learn about God the way you do. Pray for your cousin. She is bored because she doesn't understand. Really pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to her heart and open her eyes to the truth. Pull her out of the mire that she has gotten sucked into. Pray urgently.

It's ok to play if, IF, you are learning about God. What are you learning..that God is Fun...If it's all fun and games and nothing serious, then maybe you should study more and play less. As in all things, balance is the best answer.

Not at all lame. If you have fun, and learn a little something, go for it. If your cousin doesn't want to come, don't force her, just leave her home and see her when you return.

I think it is good to have fun while learning. After all, God is not some kind of ogre; He wants us to enjoy ourselves. If you need proof, spend some time reading the 4 Gospels, you will see that Jesus seems to have enjoyed himself...he did save the best wine for last!!!
Enjoy!!!

Reading a sacred text isn't lame. A goth kid would understand that, unless they're a) going through teenage rebellion or b) not a goth, but one of those "Nu-metal" kids who like painfully untalented bands like Mindless Self Indulgence.

Great for you to be studying the bible, but I hope you are studying with other kids your age and a teacher who allows you lots of play .......that is one wonderful way to learn about God.

Your cousin is thinking that to be of God it has to be solemn and dark and forboding and filled with ritual and rules to learn about God.
Wrong, sweet child, wrong.
Any time you can learn anything about God it is a good time. It is not lame. it is good. it is of God.
Anytime God is taught and learned He smiles upon it. Especially with His little ones,
