Dear Miyu_Tenshi,
i think you will find a myriad of mail hating Christians for hypocrisy, being critical etc. And much of this criticism is true because it is based on people's personal experiences with other believers.
it reminds us that we do all fall short of the glory of God and that God's grace is sufficient. And off course not every person who claims to be a believer is truly one. But it reminds us that God is faithful to work with each person no matter where they are- and as we pray for others and build others up- faith is the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1) we get to see people become all we could imagine they could be in Christ.
i wanted to encourage you with this email. Because as i read the comments that non-beleivers put about Christians i am angered (not at the non-believers) but by some of the responses i see from Christians. If we are to be Christ-like than our attitude is filled with graciousness. So i do want to encourage you to have an attitude of graciousness. To pray for mercy and correction for those self-proclaimed Christians who fail to live in a Christ-like manner. Bitterness is contagious and unfortunately many believers have left a bitter taste in many unbeliever's mouths.
We all fall short of God's glory. But our job as Jesus said is to stay attached to the vine, apart from him we can do nothing (John 15:5). He produces fruit, and we stay put!
Hope that helps,
Nickster

Hey are you japanese? Anyway, I personally am not fond of the christians. At least the religion that identifies itself as christian which is actually not a religion but a general term to describe religions that believe in jesus. Ok so I have gone to Christian churches, and they seem to be fanatics. But in a bad way, crazy ones. They preach about how everyone is going to hell and they are lucky to be a part of the church cuz they will be saved, allelluja. Also these teenagers that are all about god at church but then at school they are sluts and not about god. Weird people. Also they seem to be all about money which is so annoying. But God will give you 10 fold if you give money to the church. ALso this stuff about fainting and speaking toungues, come on, you could make the church allittle more believable if you you didnt do those silly things. Chrisitians are always trying to tell people how to live there lives. That is very annoying. People dont want to be told they are wrong and to live there life a certain way. For all we know the christians could be wrong and they are worshiping the wrong way, but then again christians think that they know everything and always right. Also what is up with the Vegitales, areyou aware the is christian religious propaganda aimed at children, that is extreamly inappropriate.
My girlfriends mom is christians and her dad isnt he is a catholic and wouldnt go to church with the mom to the christian church. The pastor told the mom to divorce the dad because he wasnt a christian. SO she did and married a christian man, YEY. Everyone is so happy now ignoring the fact that he is a jerk and never goes to church either and had an affair. But at least she wasnt converted to catholic and the christian church can get thier $$$ still.
Also the christians are so dumb and crazy, They take the bible so literally and everything that is not for god is the devil, movies, music, fun, and you can forget about prom or homecoming dances because its the DEVIL!!!!!!!! and dont even talk about holloween and all those little devil worshipers that are going to hell asking for candy. Holloween is for the devil.
So yeah I think christians are dumb, and crazy.
WBS =) tell me what you think.

Depends on the christian. I can't stand the hypocrites, but all religions have those. I have a problem with the "in your face" evangelists...they keep trying to give me what I already have (a belief system...it's just different than theirs). I do believe that many christians are willfully ignorant and that is frustrating beyond belief. It annoys me when their response to everything is "because the bible says so" and "jesus loves you" and "I'll pray for you". I wish they would have a little more respect, NOT for my religion or beliefs, as that would go against theirs, but for my right to choose. If god gives us free will to chose then why won't his followers?
However, there are many enlightened and intelligent christians that I enjoy being friends with. So, it depends on the christian.

Honey the people that do that are not christians, they are hypocrites. The bible tells us to be an example to others so it is only right that we share the word of God. If we share the word and then don't live the word, well that is not a very good example is it. Just keep on striving. The bible also says to let the wheat and the tares grow up together and he will seperate them in the end. You know a person by the fruit they bear. I promise you that you will know a true christian when you meet them. God Bless You.

I'm fine with Christians. They don't bother me none, and I am not against them anymore than I am against anyone else practicing the faith of their choice. I get a tad annoyed at the ones who use the religion as an excuse to push their agendas onto other people and the ones who make the religion look bad by acting decidedly UNChristian but then I believe everyone has a right to believe as they will and act as they will so long as it doesn't do anyone else any physical, mental, or emotional harm so even if the things they do and say are in bad taste I'm not going to get hung up about it. And I'm not going to judge an entire religion based on the actions of a few jerkwads who happen to call themselves Christians either.
I treat all with respect until they give me a reason not to. If I decide I don't like someone I'm going to base my decision on personality and actions, not on whether they are Christian, Pagan, Muslim, Atheist, Pastafarian, or anything else.

I think highly of Christians who are well-versed in their faith. I like to hear from those who know what they believe and why. I have very little time for the Christian who preaches and actually chases people away from God because the unbeliever fears they too will become over zealous.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian and believe in God and his son, Jesus Christ, with all my heart--but I don't appreciate being pounded over the head with random Bible verses that, taken out of context, don't fit the situation.

There's good ones & bad ones.
The bad ones are why so many don't become Christians in the 1st place and a few walk away from the body of Christ all together.
In my experience, I have walked away from 'so-called' Christians to seek the Divine on my own. Sadly, but most "not all" Christians are 2-faced.
I have served with 3 different pastors over an 8 year period, & each one of them became 'power hunger' & 'control-freaks'.
And I swore NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

The question is far too broad. Just this morning I read a wonderful response here from a Christian woman, and I respected her for it. But for every one of those, there is a childish post by a Christian, and needless to say, I don't think as much of those people. My mother - who I love, of course - is a Christian, but so is Pat Robertson. Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are Christians, but then so are George W. Bush and his brother Jeb. Many of my respected colleagues are Christians, but then so are most of the criminals here.

I think they preach a lot of garbage saying they are good christians. I think they are very judgemental and think their religion is the only one. I am not saying all are like this but many I have dealt with are and it is annoying. And if I hear one more person ask if someone has given themselves to Jesus or that they need to be saved---I am gonna puke.

lol hon, I'm a Christian too .... and in all honesty, can they call themselves Christians if they preach the Bible then do the opposite?
Jesus actually gets more upset about that than those who are ignorant of His Word. If you know better and you STILL don't do it, that's worse than not understanding in the first place!
