find it insulting when another female refers to you as honnie; sweetie; doll etc.. I personally find it a put down, and quickly remind them of my name. Do you?

I belong to a singles group. Some of the women in the group are really getting on my nerves because they sometimes comment on what I eat or don't eat. For example, one night I ordered a salad and one of them said "Oh, I'm so proud of you, you're eating salad!" Another night, one of the others commented "You didn't touch your beans!" so I said "That's right, I didn't touch them. Would you like to take them home with you?" then she acted flustered "No, I don't want them." I smiled and said "I thought you might want them since you were so interested in them." I'm an adult. I can't understand why these women are so interested in my food choices! It's ticking me off but I don't want to be rude and say "Why do you think any of this is any of your business?" or, in the case of salad lady, "I didn't order salad to win your approval and, frankly, I don't care what you think." What can I do?

1 - Morals, together with the other obligations make of the Muslim a distinctive Islamic personality when dealing with other people, they would trust him and believe what he says.

2 - Islamic morals generate affection and respect between the members of the family in particular and the members of society in general.

3 - Abiding by the Islamic morals will be rewarded by Allah (SWT) on the Day of Judgement, just like the other commands and prohibitions, and the Muslim would gain people's trust and respect in this life, those who adhere to high morals will be close to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) in the Hereafter, sharing the grace of Heaven, for Allah (SWT) says:

"All who obey Allah and the Messenger are in the company of those on whom is the grace of Allah, - the prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs and the righteous. What a beautiful fellowship" [TMQ 4:69]

And Bukhari reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Verily those I love most and those who will be closest to me are those of you who have the best morals." And he (SAW) was asked once about the best assets that would make a Muslim enter Heaven, he said: "The fear of Allah and good morals".

I worked in a bad office once. This 65 year old male supervisor was yelling at a 65 year old female working professional who worked their for 40 years. He wanted to know why the young female office
worker was friendly with her? He demanded to know what the young girl wanted from the 65 year old woman. He made it sound like the 65 year old woman had nothing good to offer the young girl. Meaning, money , sex, intelligence, friendship etc.

What do you think of the 65 year old male supervisor who only sleeps with younger women?

Among the things that I we decided we would bring to our dorm, i brought the tv, dvd player, and vacumn while she brought the microwave, and frige.

I don't do anything in my room except for sleeping and changing my clothes--basic stuff. She however, is in there all the time.

I don't see the point in vacumning a couple times a week but She likes to vacumn A LOT and she sheds a lot too--her trash is full of hair (gross i know) but she's complaining that the vacumn is not working and that i should get a new one. I know that it's just clogged although i just emptied it last week--so it must be the brush.

So my question is, who should be responsible for cleaning it?

After watching Ken Burns:"The War", I asked myself should Blacks and Native Americans have fought? When most of them came back they were treated like crap and NOT given the same benefits as their white comrades. Hell! They weren't even aloud to fight along side of them.

The same was done to Blacks during the Revolutionary War.

Why fight hate and oppression overseas when you were getting it here?

Thanks your your comments ahead of time.

I'm 20 years old, and I'm a junior in college. I like college, I like to learn, but lately I feel like I don't have a "social" life. There's so much I want to do, but not alot of people to do it with. I have a handful of acquaintances. I haven't found very many people that I just "click" with. I've always been a small group of friends sort of girl, or just one best friend. I do have a boyfriend of over a year that goes to school with me, and he is my best friend there. When he's at work and such, I don't do anything social. He's my only friend at college, and he keeps to himself very much so. I can be shy at first, but once you get to know me as a person, I'm not shy at all. I do work on campus and am involved in student organizations. Next semester I'm studying abroad. All of the on-campus events that I'd like to go to, I don't have anyone to go with. I know it's all about being yourself, and I am, but do you have any suggestions on how to make the most of college?

Hello. I am a college student and I live in an intergenerational program, that is, I, and other college students, live with senior citizens. The director of the program seems to think that the hygienic issues around the house are not harmful to our health. One senior walks around with his waste on his pants, sitting from chair to chair in the dining room where we eat! Another one, never showers and walks in the kitchen with a foul odor and passes gas literally every step. And lastly, we the students are supposed to clean up after them, even though this is an independent living environment and some seniors should really be at nursing homes instead of here.

Is it hazardous to our health to clean fecal matter, human waste or be in an environment, especially where we eat, exposed to such terrible hygiene?

We all are having a meeting this coming Monday and I want to bring up this issue, because it is important to me.

Thank you for your time.

I'm feeling tipped to death! Everywhere I go, people want to be tipped. I know that we can be "insurance poor," but I'm actually feeling "tip poor." When should I, and when shouldn't I, tip? I'm reaching a point that I don't want to tip at all! I'm starting to go to a spa for treatments that cost between $75-$200 each, and if I purchase a package of treatments the cost could be between $700-900. I'm almost afraid to ask, but should I be tipping 10-20 percent to them?

If it is something you would have no use for and the very fact that the person gave it to you makes you wonder if they know you at all. What do you do in that case? Do you do the "thanks, but no thanks" bid and kindly give them back the present or accept it and pretend you like it?

What if you know the person spent a lot of money on it but you will never use it, is it right to then return it or tell them that you appreciate their efforts but don't want their money to go to waste?

I've been working at this place almost 2 months, I love it. It's only 2 sales people and the manager who is hardly ever here. I hate going out to eat and spending money on food every day so I brought snacks and stuff to make quick meals during lunch. I didn't want to be rude so I told the other sales guy to feel free to grab a little something. I thought it was common courtesy to offer. Honestly I don't mind him taking some of my food, what I do mind is coming to work and all my food being gone. Ever since I made the offer he eats all my stuff, leaves empty bags and cartons of juice. I am really upset because although I offered him, I never mentioned anything about finishing my food. I think its disrespectful that he finishes it and then doesnt replace it. What should I do? What should I tell him?
