wherever i am i always see someone crossing their legs (at the knee) i've seen so many people do it mainly women. my gilfriend always crosses her legs when she sits no matter what she is wearing. i was just curious why people do it, and do you notice when you do or out of habbit? is it really that comfortable?

When I sit at my desk for long periods or at a movie or what have you I lose circulation, and cross my legs to get my leg off the edge of the seat to get the blood flowing again.

Crossing the arms and legs is a method of denying entry into the body of evil entities. I would imagine that women do it as a hold over from the days of femininity when women actually wore skirts and didn´t want anyone looking up them.

It's comfortable, but also women are taught to do it when they are young. It's considered unladylike for a woman to sit without her legs crossed at the knee or ankle.
