some guy won a hotdog eating contest and became an American hero, can you believe this?

I'm not, this event took place in the states and was on ESPN yesterday and it was announced this way.

Some people would call me a hero because I went where I was told and did what I was told, I am not a hero(yet) People do tend to overuse the word quite a bit, but with my personal perception of the word, there are none living.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's MY kind of hero. I guess his accomplishment is impressive, but it's definitely not something I would want to emulate or encourage others to emulate.

Yep I beleive it. America has certainly lowered the standards on what a hero really is.

Please stop generalizing. He may be a hero to some (and we won't talk negatively about the population considering him a 'hero'), but I assure you he is not a hero to all.
