I really get offended to the point that I no longer want to speak English language.

People start imitating my strong Russian accent. I find it to be really offensive and insulting.

I avoid being friends with Americans and I don’t want to talk to them anymore, am I right about this?

Please enlighten how I should continue my existence in this insulting environment.

I am trying to get as many peoples opinions as possible.

a party with parents from the school she teaches at. Upon repeated requests on what to bring the hostess continues to tell us to bring ourselves. I would still like to bring something but am quite sure she has thought of everything? We've thought of the typical things(wine, flowers, ect.) but would like to something a little more unique, maybe even a cute little gift for the little girls that will be there. Any Ideas??? Thanks!!!!!

I was about to respond to a question about where to get a loan asap, and I was going to tell the person not to go to a credit place because the interest rates are often 90% and above, AND I REACHED MY DAILY LIMIT!!!

I hate that. Yahoo needs to come up with a warning system. !!!

I just got a new roommate, and she is Jewish. I was just curious about the religion and customs. I have never had a friend who was, and thought that it would be great to be informed!

Our CFO is leaving today. He's not at all liked around the office by anyone, however the department notified us this morning that they would be having a going away lunch for him today. It was communicated verbally that we were expected to attend.

We were informed several hours later that we are also expected to "pitch in" $3-$5 toward the cost of lunch.

We had no notice of this lunch, I had alternate lunch plans which I've broken since my attendance is expected, but is it ethical to ask me to pay for a lunch for this man I didn't respect either personally or professionally AFTER demanding that we show up?

Should I pay for the lunch or politely excuse myself from that, since I had no notice?

I just moved into a full-service high-rise building. The building requires valet parking, rather than assigned spaces. So, I have no choice other than to use the valet service. I assume that I do not tip them daily for bringing my car up. But, I also assume that there is some gratuity to show my appreciation for their service that is appropriate around holidays, appreciation for special service, etc. What is appropriate? Also, the building provides a cleaning service that I use, which is paid weekly - what is fair for holiday gifting for the cleaning service? Thanks!

She lives downstairs to us and knows my children's bedroom is above her bedroom. After my children go to sleep, she turns on her music to a medium volume and hits the ceiling with things and closes her closet door. In the morning, she slams her closet again.
She is trying to wake up my children, but she should not be picking on my children if she has a problem with me.

What should I do??? I don't want to talk to her because I am quite angry at her now...

Shorts are for the beach and park. I find it in bad taste when someone wears shorts (especially short ones) into a restaraunt. I don't care to see a man's hairy legs or a overweight woman's cellulite when I'm eating. Why can't people see how nasty they look when they dress like this? I even saw a woman in short shorts that had a nasty sore on her leg which she had a big gauze pad on but they blood was showing through.

A pet peeve of mine has always been people that I don't know making physical contact with me, like tapping you with their hand when they had a question or something. I personally consider it a violation of my personal space, rude and disrespectful.

Yesterday a guy tapped me on the arm when he wanted to know the time, and I just snapped at him. Some of my friends feel the same way I do, where as other friends of mine don't see a issue with it.

What are your guys take on it?

My department managers decided to buy us lunch today as we have been overworked lately and see this as a good gesture.

When the managers went around to take the orders, a man that sits in the next isle over said he did not want the actual lunch but the monetary amount of what it would cost.

He went on to state "If I ordered a meal you would be paying for it, so giving me the amount of the lunch in money satisfies the same intention."

I don't know what to make of this. He actually does make a logical point & I think the manager is considering giving him the money.

Has anyone ever heard of this before? Is this normal?

I am having a party on Tuesday the 7th, and I sent out the invites 2 weeks ago. I invited 10 girls, and all of them have gotten back to me except one. I am not sure if she is out of town, decided not to RSVP (something she would do to be mean...), or did not get the letter. Should I e-mail her and explain or should I just let it be? I kind of need to know if she can come or not since I have to buy things for a certain number, etc. Please help!!!!! Thank you!!!!

So someone broke into my friends car last night and stold her Ipod and adapter and my longboard that I had just got like a month ago and paid $120 on! They did not steal hers for some reason...just mine. It just is so frustrating because why can't people just make their own money to but thing JUST LIKE WE DID!!! I saved for that and spent a lot of time deciding which one I wanted. Then I finally bought it and someone just takes it. Why? WHY?!?! Ugh it just makes me so mad...

My friend and I are having a debate about whether or not women get offended when men stare at their breasts. I don't mean in conversation but say you're walking down the street and the people walking by are looking at your chest.

i'm an agency worker, ive been on this current site for 7 months. if i get handed a shovel in a ditch and told to open it 20 foot you can bet 2 hours later i'll still be shovelling away. so i'm reliable and very easy to find. i dont take smoke breaks and i use my mobile only at break time, which i'm not payed for. but the management desperately want to get their hands on my moby number which i wont give. they want me they can find me and vice versa. one fella on site has my number a good workmate, even he knows only to phone me if in work hours it better not be work related. but i've been off recently after an accident in work, the management have been after him to get my number which he wont give either. my agency boss has my number any probs they deal with him and he in turn deals with me. he signs my pay checks after all. am i being rude to a future employer, or well within my rights to keep something private that i pay for and dont use for work purposes except the agency?

This is round three of being disrespected by my co-worker. I'm a bartender, he's a cook. He tells customers things that he shouldn't and starts fights w/them. He gets upset when you bring a food check to him at 1 minute til the kitchen closes and will totally disrespect you in front of customers. I have once gone to the boss and he didn't do anything because the cook does him a favor by growing his w**d for him. I called the cook to ask him what his problem w/ me is and all he can do is be horrifically rude . No need to go into detail. Should I try calling the cook tomorrow when he is sober (HAH) or should I say something to the boss man again?
