It's Friday. No excuse is going to sound real. Just say, "I'm cutting loose early today, allright?" They'll respect your honesty.

When I want to go home early I just come out and say that I want to. If I am able to go home early and all my work is done then it's usually ok. My bosses are usually ok with me going home early, since I come in early when asked and stay late when asked...If you have a good relationship with your employer it should be ok. Good luck and enjoy your time off....

Do you work for your mommy? Grow up!!! Either fulfill your obligation, the one you took on when you accepted the job, or just tell whomever you need to that you are leaving. Excuses don't fool anyone kiddo.
