I'm just curious about this topic. When I tell anecdotes I tend to always tell about the negative things about myself because I find that people are more interested in others misfortunes, over successes. For instance, if I was to tell someone a story I would tell them a story about how I lost money at a casino rather than finding 20 bucks on the street.

What do you guys think about this? Is it a bad thing to focus on the negative aspects? I don't suffer from low self-esteem, I just find it comical to laugh at myself at times.

I have to make three trips to do my laundry. One to put in the washer, 2nd to put in the dryer, and the 3rd trip to get clothes out of the dryer. What does one do when out of only 4 dryers in the room (all in use), the contents of 1 dryer are just sitting there with clothes done but the owner is nowhere in sight. Is it OK to remove those clothes to set it aside so I can use that dryer since I am there? Or am I supposed to just go back home with wet clothes and come another time? I never thought touching another's laundry was good etiquette but what does one do in this case?

Once, when I was running late, someone took my wet clothes out the washer, and piled it all on the table. I was really hurt and offended to see that. I thought "how rude".

But really, what is one supposed to do? What is OK, and what is Not OK? Thoughts please?

First of all I'm a guy but the funny thing is I don't know how to act like a guy... at least not that much. I've been observing people to see what they do so that maybe I can follow their footsteps and act like them. Ofcourse that didin't work out too well. I observe them, in fact I even took some notes but it didn't do any good. That's why I need some tips on what should I do and/or say in order for me to be more masculine? What should I avoid saying and/or doing? Thanks

I hate people who leave one cookie in the bag, so they dont have to throw the bag out.

...or people who dont replace the toilet paper.

...or people who leave their long hair clogged in the bathtub drain and dont throw it away.

...or people who dont put items back in a store, especially if it is a frozen food item. Also more than that are the people wh oare so lazy that they can't bend back down to place an item in the right shelf, they always place it in the one above it.

...or people who read magazines, let the subscription card fall out and them dont pick it up.

...I am new to this site. I answered a question a few days ago and I wrote a bit more than a few words. Sometimes I give a quick answer, but this was something I am pretty knowledgeable about and I gave more info than the person wanted. When they chose "best answer" (there were only two) this person thanked the other person for not "blabbing" off topic. I thought that was rude and unnecessary. Is that how people normally treat each other here or did I just get stuck with a jerk (or jerk-ess)? Comments?

This one time I had a bag of chips and I traded it for a pop.

This really happened, its my favorite story to tell, but my family thinks its really dumb.

Is it good or am I just fooling myself? Please be honest.

A former friend of mine asked me to put some of her belongings in my house. Later, she got beat up by someone & I felt sorry for her. She just got out of the hospital, & I asked her to pack her stuff & leave because I found out that she was doing big time dirt behind my back, & I found out the proof. Her stuff is out of my house. Problem is-she won't leave, & she's saying things to make me angrier. Is there any way I can solve this problem without the police getting involved? I don't want to get arrested for disturbing the peace, when someone is in MY house & won't leave. The ONLY reason I let her in my house is to get her stuff. She's pointing her fingers in my face & she calls herself, trying to intimidate me. I don't want to hurt this chick. She's not worth me going to jail for, but I want her out of my house, & I don't want the police to get involved. But I'm about to hurt her seriously!

and a car full of hot girls (3) stop at a stop sign and yell out the window "hey, do you know where chinatown is? I was supposed to be there like 15 minutes ago". This place has no chinatown and everyone knows it. Does this mean something I'm not aware of? I just said "i don't know" and they drove off. Was that just random or was there more to that?

Five minuets after the seatbelt sign came on, and 15 minuets before the plane actually landed I realized I had to pee REALLY badly. So when the plane finally landed I hurried out and in the tunnel you take to get from the plane to the inside of the airport a crippled man was walking in front of me, slowly. I said excuse me and went around him. So was it rude to go around him?

I like cherry's. So when I food shop I always buy them. The market that I shop at on a regular basis had them for 2.49 per pound. That was the regular price. I go food shopping the following week and they are on sale for 1.99 per pound but the regular price is listed as 5.99 per pound. Dont get me wrong I know 1.99 per pound is better then 2.49 per pound. Anyhow, I go back the following week and the sale is off and they are back to 2.49 per pound. Its almost like they raise the price just to make the sale price more appealing. I also noticed this when cases of water go on sale. Regular price is like 3.99. They put them on sale for 2 for 8.49. Your not saving anything. Your paying more. But people snatch them up. Am I the only person that pays attention to prices from week to week?
