She is your aunt. I would just call her by her name, but I'm 30. I guess it depends on your age and what you are comfortable with. If you want to call her Aunt Jenny(or whatever her name is), go for it.

Yes. Your Uncles wife is considered your Aunt. You may call her by her first name or whatever is comfortable for you both, but she is still your aunt whether you say aunt first or not.

Most commonly you would preface her name with "Aunt", like Aunt Lisa, or whatever.

But if you're an adult and you uncle has just recently married, it's between you and them. Quite often in this situation she would be called simply by her first name.

My mom's sister was divorced years ago. I knew her husband as "uncle", and if I saw him today I would probably still call him "uncle". But my dad's cousin got married when I was in my teens - I called him Cousin Joe, but his wife I just called Mary.

It gets under my skin, but my sons don't even call my husband's brother "uncle", they just use his first name. But my b-i-l doesn't seem to mind, so I let it go. But I do insist that they call my siblings Aunt and Uncle, because I know that it matters to them.

If she's been around since you were a kid, you'd probably already be aclling her 'auntie', so I'm guessing she is a new addition to the family.

As you are already grown up, there's no need to call her 'aunt', unless you want to.

Just call her by her first name as you would any other family member.

It would be thoughtful of you to discuss it with her, and say you'd feel a little awkward calling her 'auntie' like you do with the 'oldies' ~ so you'd like to continue just using her first name as she's now really 'family'.

She'd be a very strange and ridiculously formal person if she didn't agree wholeheartedly!

Best wishes and good luck :-)

Aunt, if it's his second wife she is your step aunt, but it's rude to point that out, so just say aunt or her name, depending on what you two are comfortable with.

Yes, she would be your aunt. ^^ You could say aunty, if you wanted. Whatever feels comfortable for you AND her both. I suppose you could sit down and talk with her. I call one of my aunts just by her name, and the other Auntie [insert my aunt's name here]. I hope I helped.

Cheers.

Different cultures have different kinship systems. My first cousin's daughter would be like my niece in Chinese, but she would be my "second cousin" in English?! Just call her Aunt followed by her name. Just make sure there's no other aunts by the same name.

It really depends on your age and her preference. Either call her Aunt or Auntie or just ask what she would like to be called.

Your uncle's wife would obviously be your aunt. So you would call her Aunt (insert her name here).

That would be your Aunt. Typically referred to as Aunt So-and-So.
