Just because it's a big celebration does not mean your gift has to be "big". Just make it meaningful so it won't be lost in a crowd of other people's unimaginative gifts.(like cash and bonds)

I normally just give cash or a bond, etc. for the child's future. However most often I have been to Christenings where the child is a baby. Depending upon the age of the child, a child's bible is a nice gift too.

the bond is a good idea.But make it special for her by getting it put inside a balloon and then make her pop the balloons til she finds it. a giftcard for the child is also an excellent idea.

i usually buy savings bonds for the child(ren). if one child i spend $100.00 but if twins(we have 2 sets in one family) i spend $50.00 each and the next holiday another $50.00 each. hope i helped..also for the parents, we bought diapers every chance we got. with four girls in diapers they needed help.

she may have everything but what about a childrens bible. especially ingraved with her name and birth date. i got one for each of my children and nothing was more special to me than that...
