I swear to god, if I left it next to the "fresh dogsh|t" section then *someone * would still want to come and look at that display.

LadyLynn: I always leave it out to the side, not in the middle of the aisle like most morons do. Today (I swear this is true) I left it next to some empty broken freezers while I got something from the freezer cabinet opposite and 3 (yes THREE) people moved my trolley to look in the empty freezer. I mean, WTF?

The same thing happens with me, too! I have my daughter usually in the cart (she's 7 weeks old) and people seem to huff and puff when I struggle to move it out of the way.
If someone makes much of a commotion, ram them with your cart when they're almost past you. :)

'ere yer off yer trolley!
I believe this lark - its a situation that occurs over and over again and there is not much you can do about it - less than becoming non-predictable that is - if next you goto the shop - put real money in the trolley - then at the payout desk take the longest time in unloading onto the band - that way you'll get more eyes and sneers than ever before. Red faced you'd pay up and then in a second have to refill the trolley with the scanned goods. Heavy duty! Sounds normal to me - but then there's a twist. Collect all that you want from the shelves and jsut make for the back door and leave without paying! Now that would be very un-predictable and you'd get your real coin back too when you empty the trolley.

You must have been in Wal-Mart. That happens all the time...people are just angry and bitter in life and I guess this is the only outlet they have to show it. By acting like YOU, a perfect stranger is responsible for their irritation and hatred. I was a vendor at one point, I had to use a ladder in the store. I was in the software section and it never failed....someone would come along with that electric cart. Despite the fact that they had room to get by and WERE NOT looking at software, they would BUMP into the ladder several times and give me dirty looks. One person in particular did it a few too many times...I finally looked down at them and told them to quit. They huffed and puffed at me, did it again. I said "I don't think you heard me, I'm NOT an employee of this store and I will sue you blind if you knock me off this ladder because you have a frickin attitude." He demanded to see my manager. I said "I am not an employee here, I am my own manager, now move on." âº

Just always leave it way on the side so people can get around it. If you leave it in the middle of the aisle, of course it's going to be in people's way. If you ARE leaving it on the side, and people are still gawking at it, you must have some interesting dogsh!t!! :) Let's hope that that is your biggest problem!! -L

Good for you. Did you have to practice this or does it just come naturally. What's your technique? I usually try for the most popular aisles and leave my cart right in the middle.

I never leave my cart, it is right in front of me at all times. And people still want me to move, I simply smile and take my time doing what I came to do. If they are in such a hurry that someone taking the time to read labels bothers them, they should be shopping at 2AM and leave the rest of us alone.
