I have been casually seeing a guy for about a month or so. He is 24 and a Physics graduate student at the UW. The entire time we've spent together, we've gotten along very well and have had some incredibly conversations. This all changed about two weeks ago when I was visiting him at his place:

He called me earlier that afternoon to ask me if I wanted to have dinner with him. I agreed to meet him and I made the hour and a half drive to his house in Seattle. When I arrived, we talked for a little while and then he decided to show me a new typewriter he had just purchased. Suddenly, he noticed the "A" key was sticky and decided to pry open the typewriter to fix the spring. He said it would only take a minute and then we would go out to dinner. He ended up taking an hour and we did not eat.

Finally, he looked up at me and said "you don't have to sit there and watch me do this if you don't want to." So, I picked up my purse, told him good-night, and left. He has not called me.

Is it normal now to register for high school graduation gifts? My mom received a graduation invitation that included the graduate's registry. She had registered under the Wedding Registry at several stores. Is this a common practice?

Everything you own is taken away from you, ex- car, money, job, etc. You get to keep your family, home, and food. Your home is paid for and your food will be furnished for you at all times. Now, would you want all of your things back? Or would you start a new kind of life? Why?

Every day I drive to work, someone is just doing the speed limit (or below) and cruising along in the passing lane. If there is nobody in the travling lane, I will pass them there. But sometimes I'm stuck, like it's a road block!

I heard a story once, and I'm curious as to what you think and if it has ever actually happened to you...

Supposedly, a male was using a urinal in one of those one-at-a-time bathrooms (I don't recall where). Suddenly, the door is opened and another male goes straight to the toilet, pulls down his pants, and takes a deuce. Talk about awkward...

It's that whole nature vs. nurture theory. Are we hardwired to laugh at farts from birth or is it something we find funny once we reach a certain age (socially conditioned to laugh at them)?

I let some guy and his girlfriend cross the street yesterday, and it was a 5-minute ordeal! I usually jog across, or speed-walk at least. They just walked very slow, and just stared at me. Watch out pedestrians, cuz I'm not letting anyone else go!

I can't stand it when people walk three-wide on the sidealk and make me walk in the street to get around them. Or when they just stand in the middle of the aisle in a store and look around. Anyone else??

It's just kinda stupid. It's nothing against God, and I bet he would agree. I think it started because some idiots thought a sneeze made you vulnerable to evil demons sneaking up your nose. Blessing you immediately, of course, drove them away.
Nowadays, it's so awkward. Do you say it, do you not say it?
And then if somebody says it to you, you have to thank them.
Yeesh. Let's just all agree to end it, what do you say?

We finally found a house to rent. It took them two months to clean out the garage
We were told AFTER we moved in that the other side of the yard is not ours until they clean it up.I did the yard because the weeds were up to 4 feet tall..It took me 13 hours to get it down..they said they always let the tenents do what they want with that side. They put a pile of trash in the corner that has been covered so long that the weeds grew over it and the tarp has disinigrated. The old oven is behind the garage along with mounds of garbage they added to it after they cleaned the garage.Cement blocks from his trial and error all over.Wood bords.
When they do show up they are here they arrive at 4:30 in the afternoon like clock work,Then they do not leave until very very late at night usually 11:00.We feel so invaded. We see them more then we see our own parents..How can I express to them with out getting kicked out to get the trailor out as well as to come during regular hours.. HELP

This Fat B*tch that Lives downstairs is watching every move I make, Im 18..A LEGAL ADULT. Every night I babysit my 7 year old sister... And every night or every few days I go to the 7-11 (across the Street) or do quick errands. My Kid sister NEVER wants to go anywhere unless it involves fun. So Last Night I went to turn in a library book, and to get gas and when I came back she was gone. My mom picked up her because the fatfukk threatoned to call the police. Shes also been talking sh*t about my friends and that is none of her concern. She has like 4 babys and is under social services because of her fattass 13 y.o. daughter causing problems. How Do I deal with her? She Needs to Mind her own Fukking Business, shes obviously doing it because I sent her an angry letter telling her to mind her business and calling her a snitch, and having nothing better to do.. So How do I deal With her? I Hate feeling like a damn prisoner and not being able to go to the damn 7-11 because of her bullsh*t.

He is an older man who is supposed to run errands for us in the office so we won't have to divide our attention between contracts, clients and stuff like picking up parcel, etc. However, this individual does everything in his power to avoid his responsibilities. Getting the owner's attention to this matter is out of the question. Even the sales manager knows about it and has decided not to do anything.

The problem is that this guy has the bad habit of starring at our chest (no matter how professionally dressed we are), and every time someone engages in a conversation with him, unavoidably ends with a sexual joke.

I have decided not to speak to him unless absolutely necessary but he tries to talk to me all the time...it makes me uncomfortable!

My job is very difficult but I love it. I need to have every bit of attention set on what I am doing at work, and keeping this person away is becoming a problem for me...help!

Sometimes when I make the excuse that I'm afraid I'll drop the baby they just go ahead and thrust the baby into my arms anyway, correcting how I hold it. I didn't want to hold it in the first place lol. How do you politely decline to avoid a scenerio like that and avoid offending the new parents?
